I got to test run the Samsung Pixon camera phone. This 8MP wonder is a joy to play around with. Managed to exploit it to capture this normal mundane evening into some bus speeding action. Not that I am lying, but some of the bus drivers here in Singapore drives as if they are in a race track too. Maybe inspired by the Singtel F1 Night Race. And oh yes,... Keanu Reeves Speed!!!
Little rock modelling test to tryout Blenders scuplting mode :) Bit of a boring post, but hey...haha.
Another shot for his set this week, I'm so behind and lacking inspiration and bummed that this project isn't going the way I wanted it to be.
We tested some second-hand lenses at a local photography shop in Acqui Terme. Didn't buy any, only an original M42 adapter from Pentax, so I can use my Helios on the K-7. But this lens was nice, small, doesn't weigh a lot and takes nice pictures. This one I took inside the shop.

I'm not thrilled with the outcome of this one either but I guess Rome wasn't built in a day right? The shadows on the right of the image are bothersome.

My excuse for my cuticles looking like that is I've spent the last week in a datacenter.
Having been held in Elford Loop, a quick chase around to Portway. Here, the driver gives his steeds a rousing departure from the loop as 1Q14 14.52 Derby RTC to Old Oak Common gets underway once more. 37611 top n tail 37610, Portway, Saturday 21st July 2012.
I find it comforting to know that my sports drink has been tested in the lab and proven on the field. But what is that bandage on her forehead? Did she get that in the testing process? Oh well, its only 2 for $3.

Test done twice in different setups, different days.
For the above, both taken five minutes apart, only change was rotation of CLS filter by 90 degrees. . .
Effect emphasized by color stretch.

This time using a proper photo background and a piece of glass.
Opinions? Do you prefer this or my usual background?
I was playing around with my Tamron 17-35 and my sb-800. I angled the flash off to the right towards the floor to bounce the light up from the floor. I like the results. Boy that flash is fun!
Close up of the lips, because dammit, I was really proud of how thin I got those metallic paint lines. Dusty doll is DUSTY.

Formula One Testing, Bahrain Test Two, Day Three, Saturday 1st Match 2014. Sakhir, Bahrain.
Picked up my Hitech 0.9 (3 stop) ND grad filter, with the Cokin Z pro setup, 4 GB CF card and a book on exposure recently.
B&W Circular polarizer will be here in a few days..
ND grad filters are useful in that they can help balance exposure between sky and land which is especially useful with the harsh sun here.
The above shot is a great example in that if you meter on the trees the sky is blown and if you meter on the sky the trees would be silhouettes.
Nice thing about this setup is that with an adaptor ring I can fit it to any sized lens that I want.
And with careful positioning of the filter it can make do as a 3 stop ND filter also...
Possibilities are endless with this flowing water, sunrises, sunsets and even a certain Shipwreck...
