A tunic camisole I'm testing out now. I've yet to get velvet ribbon for the straps, so it's unfinished. This is made in SD10 size, but if it's successful, I can't wait to try Unoa size too. :)
I love the colour of this peach, it's also glowing off the background, lol. This was made witha mixture of hand stitching and serging for the main body. I'm still a wimp with the bigass sewing machine my mother uses often for every item. *_*

The Orion boilerplate test vehicle is secured in the well deck of the USS San Diego at the U.S. Naval Base San Diego in California. Orion was transported about 100 miles offshore for an underway recovery test. NASA and the U.S. Navy conducted tests to prepare for recovery of the Orion crew module, forward bay cover and parachutes on its return from a deep space mission. The underway recovery test will allow the teams to demonstrate and evaluate the recovery processes, procedures, hardware and personnel in open waters. During the testing, the tether lines were unable to support the tension caused by crew module motion that was driven by wave turbulence in the well deck of the ship. NASA and the U.S. Navy are reviewing the testing data collected to evaluate the next steps. The Ground Systems Development and Operations Program conducted the underway recovery tests. Orion is the exploration spacecraft designed to carry astronauts to destinations not yet explored by humans, including an asteroid and Mars. It will have emergency abort capability, sustain the crew during space travel and provide safe re-entry from deep space return velocities. The first unpiloted test flight of the Orion is scheduled to launch in 2014 atop a Delta IV rocket and in 2017 on NASA’s Space Launch System rocket. For more information, visit www.nasa.gov/orion.

.RAF conversion results (July 2012)
The Fuji sensor arrangement makes the conversion RAF to JPG challenging for everybody. I tested 3 applications but still have not found the “Holy Grail” of Fujifilm sensors.
Silkypix (provided): the images are soft, have a “blue” tone and can not solve the greens very well. The results are so mediocre that I thought it was a problem with the camera. Anyway colors are uniform and noise is undetectable so can be useful in some cases.
Lightroom 4: is a good compromise, not so sharp but not so noisy and plenty of controls. But you need to pay for it, learn to use it, and it is not the “official” converter. If you have it, use it.
Therapee 4: gives the sharper and noisier results, it is free and can give good results. The photo size is the same than in .RAF, which is smaller than 4000x3000. It is a good complement for Silkypix users.
JPG from the camera: results are the best and are not time consuming, but you have few controls over it and need to be preset. M size (6mp) is sharper than L size (12mp), Astia film and highlights in low are advisable too.
I wish some company develop a better product to convert these .RAF files easily and better, meanwhile I shoot JPG and for important events RAF + JPG, a big SD card is mandatory.
Good shoots and better conversions ;)
Test Roll of Lomography CN 400 in my new Lomogrpahy Konstruktor DIY SLR.
VERY wide depth of field, the ring was about 1m or so away and the background is almost in as much focus.
Overall the pictures are okay. I don't think I'd be using it that often, the 1/80 shutter speed is just a bit too slow unless you stop and stand still.
Also it likes to eat film.

This was a test of shooting the interior of a JR. I used a Nikon D90 with 6 images and my most anti-establishment lens, the 100 dollar 18-55mm VR lens. Post was done Lightroom using "stacks" and then exported to CS3 for the stitch and final adjustments.
No flash was used, this is all ambient light and the use of layers in post
The plan is to go back before the official opening and do the shoot in the AM. This was around noon. I have to get the view out the windows right on the money.

Still on test at the time, a Hitachi "Azuma" IET set runs fast through a heat-hazed New Barnet with 5X21 1322 Kings Cross to Doncaster IEP Depot on 15th June 2018.
At the time, south of York was the only chance to see these units due to problems (now resolved) with the on-board electrics interfering with signalling.
