Participating in the silent vigil of 6 September 2025 in London's Parliament Square against the proscription of Palestine Action, this protestor embodies the quiet defiance that characterised the day. Her participation, like that of many other disabled activists , shows the profound depth of conviction that drove a cross-section of British society to risk arrest.
The simple placard she holds had been deemed an act of terrorism by the state, an expression of support punishable by a potentially lengthy prison sentence. Her resolve reflects a conscious choice to defy this law, motivated by the unfolding genocide in Gaza.

Protest and the Price of Dissent: Palestine Action and the Criminalisation of Conscience
Parliament Square on Saturday, 6 September 2025 was a scene of quiet, almost solemn defiance. The air, usually thick with the noise of London traffic and crowds of tourists, was instead filled with a palpable tension, a shared gravity that emanated from the quiet determination of hundreds of protesters, many of them over 60 years old, some sitting on steps or stools and others lying on the grass.
They held not professionally printed banners, but handwritten cardboard signs, their messages stark against the historic grandeur of their surroundings. This was not a march of chants and slogans, but a silent vigil of civil disobedience, a deliberate and calculated act of defiance against the state.
On that day, my task was to photograph the protest against the proscription of the direct-action group Palestine Action. While not always agreeing entirely with the group’s methods, I could not help but be struck by the profound dedication etched on the faces of the individual protesters.
As they sat in silence, contemplating both the horrific gravity of the situation in Gaza and the enormity of the personal risk they were taking — courting arrest under terror laws for holding a simple placard — their expressions took on a quality not dissimilar to what war photographers once called the “thousand-yard stare.” It was a look of weary but deep and determined resolve, a silent testament to their readiness to face life-changing prosecution in the name of a principle.
This scene poses a profound and unsettling question for modern Britain. How did the United Kingdom, a nation that prides itself on its democratic traditions and the right to protest, arrive at a point where hundreds of its citizens — clergy, doctors, veterans, and the elderly — could be arrested under counter-terrorism legislation for an act of silent, peaceful protest?
The events of that September afternoon were the culmination of a complex and contentious series of developments, but their significance extends far beyond a single organisation or demonstration. The proscription of Palestine Action has become a critical juncture in the nation’s relationship with dissent, a test of the elasticity of free expression, and a stark examination of its obligations under international law in the face of Israel deliberately engineering a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
To understand what is at stake, one must unravel the threads that led to that moment: the identity of the movement, the state’s legal machinery of proscription, the confrontation in Parliament Square, and the political context that compelled so many to risk their liberty.
Direct Action and the State’s Response
Palestine Action, established in 2020, has never hidden its approach. Unlike traditional lobbying groups, it rejected appeals to political elites in favour of disrupting the physical infrastructure of complicity: factories producing parts for Israeli weapons systems, offices of arms manufacturers, and — eventually — military installations themselves.
Its tactics, while non-violent, were disruptive and confrontational. Red paint sprayed across buildings to symbolise blood, occupations that halted production, chains and locks on factory gates. For supporters, these were acts of conscience against a system enabling atrocities in Gaza. For the state, they were criminal disruptions of commerce.
That clash escalated steadily. In Oldham, a persistent campaign against Elbit Systems, a key manufacturer in the Israeli arms supply chain, culminated in the company abandoning its Ferranti site. Later actions targeted suppliers for F-35 fighter jets and other arms manufacturers. These were no random acts of mindless vandalism but part of a deliberate strategy: to impose costs high enough that complicity in Israel’s war effort would become unsustainable.
The decisive rupture came in June 2025, when activists infiltrated RAF Brize Norton, Britain’s largest airbase, and sprayed red paint into the engines of refuelling aircraft linked to operations over Gaza. For the activists, it was a desperate attempt to interrupt a supply chain of surveillance and logistical support to a state commiting genocide. For the government, it crossed a line: military assets had been attacked. Within days, the Home Secretary announced Palestine Action would be proscribed as a terrorist organisation.
Proscription and the Expansion of “Terrorism”
Here lies the heart of the controversy. The Terrorism Act 2000 defines terrorism with unusual breadth, encompassing not only threats to life but also “serious damage to property” carried out for political or ideological aims. In this capacious definition, breaking a factory window or disabling a machine can be legally assimilated to mass murder.
By invoking this law, the government placed Palestine Action on the same legal footing as al-Qaeda or ISIS. Supporting it — even symbolically — became a serious offence.
Since July 2025, merely expressing support for the organization can carry a maximum prison sentence of 14 years.
This is based on Section 12 of the Terrorism Act 2000. The specific offense is "recklessly expressing support for a proscribed organisation". However, according to Section 13 of the Act, a lower-level offence for actions like displaying hand held placards in support of a proscribed group carries a maximum sentence of six months imprisonment or a fine of five thousand pounds or both.
Civil liberties groups and human rights bodies have denounced the proscription move as disproportionate. Their concern was not primarily whether Palestine Action’s tactics might violate existing criminal law. One might reasonably argue that they did unless they might sometimes be justified in the name of preventing a greater crime.
But reframing those actions as “terrorism” represented a dangerous category error. As many pointed out, terrorism has historically referred to violence against civilians. Expanding it to cover property damage risks draining the term of meaning. Worse, it arms the state with a stigma so powerful that it can delegitimise entire political positions without debate.
The implications go further. Proscription does not simply criminalise acts. It criminalises expressions of allegiance, conscience and even speech. To say “I support Palestine Action” is no longer an opinion but technically a serious crime. The state has moved from punishing deeds to punishing expressions of solidarity — a move with chilling consequences for democratic life.
Parliament Square: Civil Disobedience on Trial
It was this transformation that brought nearly 1,500 people into Parliament Square on 6 September. They knew what awaited them. Organisers announced in advance that protesters would hold signs reading: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.” In doing so, they openly declared their intent to break the law.
The crowd was strikingly diverse. Retired doctors, clergy, war veterans, even an 83-year-old Anglican priest. Disabled activists came in wheelchairs; descendants of Holocaust survivors stood beside young students. This was not a hardened cadre of militants but a cross-section of society, many of whom had never before faced arrest.
At precisely 1 pm, the protesters all sat or lay down silently, cardboard signs raised. There was no chanting, no aggression — only a quiet insistence that they would not accept the criminalisation of conscience.
The police response was equally predictable. Hundreds of officers moved systematically through the crowd, arresting anyone displaying a sign. By the end of the day, nearly 900 people were detained under counter-terrorism law. It was one of the largest mass arrests in modern British history.
Official statements later alleged police were met with violence — officers punched, spat on, objects thrown. Yet independent observers, including Amnesty International, contradicted this. They reported a peaceful assembly disrupted by aggressive policing: batons drawn, protesters shoved, some bloodied.

The two narratives were irreconcilable, but only one carried the weight and authority of the state.
The entire event unfolded as political theatre. The government proscribed a group, thereby creating a new crime. Protesters, convinced the law was unjust, announced their intent to commit that crime peacefully. The police, forewarned, staged a vast operation. Each side acted out its script. The spectacle allowed the state to present itself as defending order against extremism — while in reality silencing dissent.
The Humanitarian Context: Why Protesters Risked All
To see the Parliament Square protest as a parochial dispute over free speech is to miss its driving force. The demonstrators were not there merely to defend abstract principles. They were responding to what they, and a growing body of international experts, describe as a genocide in Gaza.
By September 2025, Gaza had descended into almost total collapse. Over 63,000 Palestinians had been killed, the majority of them women and children. More than 150,000 had been injured, many maimed for life. Entire neighbourhoods had been flattened. Famine was confirmed in August, with Israel continuing to impose and even tighten deliberate restrictions on food, water, and fuel, a strategy condemned by human rights groups as a major war crime. Hospitals lay in ruins. Ninety percent of the population had been displaced.
It is in this context that the term genocide has been applied. Legal scholars point not only to mass killings but also to the deliberate infliction of life-destroying conditions, accompanied by rhetoric from Israeli officials dehumanising Palestinians as “human animals.” In September 2025, the International Association of Genocide Scholars declared that Israel’s actions met the legal definition of genocide.
www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cde3eyzdr63o
Major NGOs, UN experts, and even Israeli human rights groups such as B’Tselem echoed that conclusion.
For the protesters, then, the question was not abstract but immediate: faced with what they saw as a genocide, could they in good conscience remain silent while their own government criminalised resistance to it? Their answer was to risk arrest, their placards making the moral connection explicit: opposing genocide meant supporting those who sought to stop it.
The Price of Dissent
The mass arrests in Parliament Square were not an isolated incident of law enforcement. They were the product of a broader trajectory: escalating tactics by a direct-action movement, a humanitarian catastrophe abroad, and a government determined to suppress dissent at home through the bluntest of instruments.
The official line insists that Palestine Action’s campaign constituted terrorism and thus warranted proscription. On this view, the arrests were simple enforcement of the law. Yet this account obscures the deeper reality: a precedent in which the state redefined non-lethal protest as terrorism, shifting from punishing actions to criminalising expressions of solidarity.
The cost is profound. Once speech and conscience themselves become suspect, dissent is no longer tolerated but pathologised. The chilling effect is already evident: individuals weigh not just whether to join a protest, but whether uttering support might expose them to years in prison. Terror laws, originally justified as a shield against mass violence, are recast as tools of political management.
The protesters understood this. That “thousand-yard stare” captured in their faces was not only the weight of potential arrest, but the knowledge of Gaza’s devastation, the famine and rubble, the deaths mounting daily. It was also the recognition that their own government had chosen to silence them rather than address its complicity.
In a functioning democracy, the question is not why citizens risk arrest for holding a handwritten cardboard sign. It is why a state finds it necessary to treat that act as a terror offence. The answer reveals a narrowing of democratic space, where conscience itself is deemed subversive. And that narrowing, history teaches, carries consequences not just for those arrested, but for the society that allows it.
The Wall Street bombing occurred at 12:01 pm on September 16, 1920, in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City. The blast killed 30 people immediately, and another eight died later of wounds sustained in the blast. There were 143 seriously injured, and the total number of injured was in the hundreds. The bombing was never solved.
At noon, a horse-drawn wagon passed by lunchtime crowds on Wall Street and stopped across the street from the headquarters of the J.P. Morgan bank at 23 Wall Street, on the Financial District's busiest corner. Inside the wagon, 100 pounds of dynamite with 500 pounds of heavy, cast-iron sash weights exploded in a timer-set detonation, sending the weights tearing through the air. The horse and wagon were blasted into small fragments, but the driver was believed to have left the vehicle and escaped.
The bomb caused more than $2 million in property damage ($23.7 million today) and destroyed most of the interior spaces of the Morgan building.
The building received heavy damage, with shrapnel entering the building through its large wide windows. To this day, the damage to the limestone façade is visible on the outside of the building, as the company said it would never repair the damage in defiance to those who committed the crime.

What you just heard was right out of Military Psyops play book. It was a low plane flying over us, followed by a mob of motorcycles and ATVs. I took Koda out to use the bathroom, we sat in front of our Motorhome and tried to enjoy the beautiful weather. A plane flies directly above us, then comes a barrage of noise by motorcycles and ATVs. You see some of them pictured in the Collage. From top to right, they would be the 3rd, 4th and 5th pictures down. I left the motorcycles out because they were kids. I’m not saying all were involved with this. Many times someone may just be riding or going along, and they can be used as a witness; if their Target acts out. But, someone is controlling the strings. This same act of Terrorism has been carried over from state to state. While a Target is bombarded with this noise; they will often receive an Attack from Direct Energy Weapons. This is one of the many psychological tactics used in Domestic Terrorism, on a Target. Koda, even, reacts to the planes now; he knows what follows. He is also repeatedly Attacked with Electronic Stimuli. I have recorded it repeatedly in public places.
This started in California, when I was working and living in Yosemite National Park. It didn’t happen as often, because of the remote areas I ventured. What happened was; when I went to leave for somewhere, a plane would show up. I would be out backpacking in the High Country, a plane would buzz over, then shortly someone would show up out of nowhere. Also, when I would return; as I got close to my living quarters, another plane would show up. This would be followed by noise campaigns and harassment from my coworkers, that would be waiting. I didn’t realize the level of corruption, fraud and cover-up, from our Government Agencies and the Billion Dollar Contractors. As I would address these shortcoming and blatant acts from the Contractors and Concessionaires; the Retaliation would be over the top, accompanied by Direct Energy Weapons Attacks. People died and extremely sickened, being exposed to viruses. I’m not talking the Corona Virus. They were exposed to the Hanta and Norovirus, because of Concessionaires cutting back on safety, maintenance and labor. No one was held accountable. This can be verified with a little research, or reading through my photostream. I tried to take this to National Parks Service, clear to The Department of the Interior, Secretary. Again, retaliation over the top. If it wasn’t for my Intense Military Training; I probably wouldn’t be writing this right now. The average United States Citizen; doesn’t have a chance against these Conspired, Planed, Attacks of Domestic Terrorism. You can label it Workplace Mobbing, Gang Stalking, whatever you want; but it is Domestic Terrorism. It Terrorizes it’s Target.
I may have hung-up my uniform years ago, but I will never stop serving this country. Saying that, I will address the American flags you see in the collage. Each time I mention my service in a post; people start showing up with the American flag. It’s just another psychological act; to rub it in my face. When at Yosemite; my coworkers would start playing music with lyrics like; “Its a Revolution”, then the flags would start showing up.
The top 2 pictures in the collage are camp neighbors, showing up as I leave my camp. The Dodge, again, is the camp across the road, he’s lurching by as we leave. The other, is a guy who gets off his ATV, pretends to look at a tire; but is watching to see which way we go. And picture number 7; is the neighbors behind us, doing the same. The picture below that (9), is the same neighbor; chasing us down almost and hour and 45 minutes later. Also, a fly over prior, as we were heading back to camp.
While we were out on our hike, we walked to a small pond, that I've seen from a distance several times. As Koda and I stood on top of hill, a distance away, I said to Koda “lets go check out that pond. We could see it clearly, no one was there. It took about 45 minutes to arrive. When we got there, there were 2 men and a boy fishing. Koda was happy to see new people, he had on his happy face, wagging his tail. I asked the guys if they were catching anything, one man said they just got there. The other guy, fishing with the young boy, goes into his Truck Camper, and comes back out quickly. Once he did, Koda started acting very agitated, and began winning. He continued this, even as I told him to heel. He continued this until we moved out of the area. As we walk down the Forest Road, here comes a plane, then a few moments, 2 motorcycles, with riders standing; to be more threatening. We continued walking on the Forest Road, until some of those pictured, started showing up. We took the meadows most of the way home, but once we stepped back on another Forest Road; here come the Perps again.
Now, pictures 6 and 8; are what I call Want-to-Bees. They have tags, the guy in the Dodge chased us down, as we were coming over a hill. His hat said “Politicians Scared Again”. People from all kids of groups are recruited for this Domestic Terrorism. They are given information about a Target that entisess them to participate. You wouldn’t imagine what some of my friends (there are a few), or neighbors would tell me; about what someone said.
Meanwhile, when I would leave; someone would enter my residence, now Motorhome, and tamper with, take, or destroy, my personal property. I have such a recording from the day I left in this collage.
This again, is another Physiological tactic used in this type of Domestic Terrorism.
Lets get down to the last picture. It was taken in the Walmart store in Laramie, Wyoming. It may look like these bagels fell off the shelf, but look closely. They were thrown on the floor. This has not only happened at this Walmart. In Colorado; it was Safeway and King Soopers. In Arizona, it was done in Fry’s Grocery and Walmart. We’ve also had dog toys thrown on the floor, in the pet section. People will watch what you select items from shelves; then when you come back to shop, those items may be on the floor, or there may be none. Employees and people will intentionally and completely block you, from retrieving them from a shelf, bin or cooler. I was in Arizona, I asked an employee where the Jalapenos where. She was new, and said she didn’t know. No sooner than I asked her; a perp rushes up to me and says “I know right where they are, follow me”. I get to the Jalapenos, he quickly disappears. I select the brand I normally buy, pull it from the shelf; the cap came off and liquid spilled all over me and the floor. This wasn’t the first time I went to purchase an item that was opened, or tampered with.
Getting back to the Walmart in Laramie. I addressed the Mobbing, Blocking and Cutting-off, to what I thought was a Store Manager, last month. But, when I went into that store that day; there was an employee dust-mopping around the bins of produce, I normally select (this is the 3rd or 4th time), and there were perps waiting in produce to block me, at items I purchase frequently. I skipped produce and went to other areas in the store. As I walked to other areas, employees, 2 at a time, stopped ahead of me, would step across in front of Koda and I, causing us to stop, or walk into them. They had their name tags covered. This happened 3 times. Here I am with a service dog, a mild limp, and they cut out in front of me. While shopping through the store, we were bombarded with Honey Pots. Right out of the FBI's play book. These were younger women, some girls, wearing way too short, shorts. They would talk loudly, fake sneeze, walk across in front of us, or to our side, repeatedly.
This mobbing starts before we even enter the store, during and as we leave. When we first walked in, a man swung his shopping bag at Koda, and almost hit him. There was a group waiting at the cart area. As we left the parking lot; we received the Beeping Campaign. Someone kept tapping their horn, while we drove the whole length of that area. We get to the end of the parking lot, and are stalled by people intentionally stopped, for no reason.
When I finished adding the audio to this collage (in Lightroom CC), I took Koda out to use the bathroom and give him a little play time. Just after I asked if he wanted to go out, here come the ATVs.
Targets are under 24/7 surveillance, most of it audio, but many times video. They knew we were going out. As I changed and gathered my half-wit spotter (camera), the ATVs set up just over a hill. After Koda starts his poo circle dance, they reaper. The driver of the front ATV, wearing a disposable mask, like I grabbed at Walmart. Three ATVs went zooming by, waiving, trying to agitate me even more.
A lot of this looks like daily activity; except when its repeated enough for a Target to realize, it is not. These people will wear and banish curtain colors; to let a Target they are involved.
You may criticize me, belittle me, try to discredit me, but I know who I am. I don’t publicize this for recognition. I do it because what is happening in America is wrong. I do it because so many are fearful of the Retaliation, the demeaning Belittlement, the Discrediting, the overwhelming realization; that this Nation is not what we thought it was. Not only that, but I do it because the numbers involved are overwhelming. Gang Staking is Real; it is just another term that can be dismissed for the Domestic Terrorism.
So, Mr. FBI agent that abruptly hung up on me, when I called the Cheyenne, FBI number for Domestic Terrorism. How many hundreds, thousands of pictures, video and audio clips, do you need; to take this seriously! I have been collecting them for over 12 years. The same acts, from state to state, the same Physiological and Physical Torture, from state to state, the same Domestic Terrorism, from state to state. Didn’t you learn anything from the Brave men and women that protected our Capitol on Jan 6th?
Where were you, when they were putting their lives on the line? Many of them, are going through much of the same; that United States Citizens have endured for decades, and your agency has turns a blind eye to. Why is it, only American Diplomats and CIA agents are the only ones allowed to publically address the use, of Direct Energy Weapons Attacks? Is it because of Government involvement? Is it because of Military Implications? Is it because United States Citizens, are being used as Test Subjects again?
This is what American Corporations, and their employees, are capable of in todays America: www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&s...
My name is Rick Pineiro. American Citizens are being Terrorized, Tortured, and Attacked with Direct Energy Weapons, daily. I’m not afraid to expose the truth, and will continue to do so. It's the True and Right American Way.
Look for my next post, “The Bait & Hate”. Where an older man, uses a young girl to harass my dog, as he belittles me, for asking him politely to watch his dog. It repeatedly jumped towards me.
About an hour after I posted this on Flickr; we get the lowest fly over I've received here in Wyoming. Accompanied by Extreme Electronic Attacks.

Known as a fact to most people in the world today.
......."America's Shame
by Paul Craig Roberts
Why does Israel have a right to exist, but Palestine doesn't?
This is the question of our time.
For sixty years Israelis have been stealing Palestine from Palestinians. There are maps available on the Internet and in Israeli publications showing the shrinkage over time of what was once Palestine into what Palestine is today--a small number of unconnected ghettos or bantustans.
Palestine became "the occupied territory" from which Palestinians were ejected and Israeli settlements built for "settlers." Jordan, Syria and Lebanon are full of refugee camps in which Palestinians driven off their lands by Israeli force have been living for decades.
Driving people off their land is strictly illegal under international law, but Israel has been getting away with it for decades.
Gaza is a concentration camp of 1.5 million Palestinians who were driven from their homes and villages and collected in the Gaza Ghetto.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency was created 60 years ago in 1949 to administer refugee camps for Palestinians driven from their lands by Israel. As of 2002, the registered Palestinian refugee population was 3.9 million.
Caterpillar Tractor makes a special bulldozer for Israel that is designed to knock down Palestinian homes and to uproot their orchards. In 2003 an American protester, Rachel Corrie, stood in front of one of these Caterpillars and was run over and crushed.
Nothing happened. The Israelis can kill whomever they want whenever they want.
They have been doing so for 60 years, and they show no sign of stopping.
Currently they are murdering women and children in the ghetto that they have created for Palestinians in Gaza. The entire world knows this. The Red Cross protests it. But the Israelis brazenly claim that they are killing "Hamas terrorists who are a threat to Israel's existence."
The American media knows that this is a lie, but does not say so.
Israel has been able to slowly exterminate a people for sixty years without provoking sufficient outrage to stop it.
The United States, "Christian America," has been Israel's greatest enabler in its long-term murder of the Palestinian people. Millions of "evangelical Christians" endorse Israel's ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
The rest of the world condemns the Israeli military attack on the Gaza Ghetto. Last week the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution requiring a ceasefire and the withdrawal of the Israeli SS from Gaza.
The United States abstained.
While the rest of the world condemns Israel's inhumanity, the US Congress--I should say the US Knesset--rushed to endorse the Israeli slaughter of the Palestinians in Gaza.
The US Senate endorsed Israel's massacre of Palestinians with a vote of 100-0.
The US House of Representatives voted 430-5 to endorse Israel's massacre of Palestinians.
The resolutions endorsed by 100% of the US Senate and 99% of the House were written by AIPAC, as were the speeches praising Israel for its inhumanity.
The US Congress was proud to show that it is Israel's puppet even when it comes to murdering women and children.
The President of the United States was proud to block effective action by the UN Security Council by ordering the Secretary of State to abstain.....

These three individuals are part of a crowd of an estimated 1,500 people who gathered for what was mostly a silent vigil of civil disobedience against the proscription of Palestine Action in London's Parliament Square on 6 September 2025. Their hand written signs express support for a proscribed group, the specific act for which 857 people were arrested under Section 13 of the Terrorism Act. This carefully planned act of mass civil disobedience drew a remarkably diverse group of citizens, including vicars and priests, war veterans and descendants of Holocaust survivors.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The specific offence is "recklessly expressing support for a proscribed organisation".
I support Palestine Action.”
In doing so, they openly declared their intent to break the law.The crowd was strikingly diverse.

Although he is an adult now, Kyle Rittenhouse was only 17 when he crossed the state line from Illinois into Kenosha, Wisconsin with an AR-15 style assault rifle he could not legally own and shot three people, killing two of them on the night of August 25, 2020.
Two days earlier, on August 23, 2020, Jacob Blake, an African-American man, was shot at seven times from behind, with four of the bullets striking him by a Kenosha police officer after being tasered, and he became paralyzed from the waist down. This act of police brutality sparked protests by enraged citizens and led to some rallies, marches, property damage, arson, and clashes with police. Wisconsin Army National Guard was called to reinforce the local police amid the unrest, but various vigilantes and thugs also showed up with the intention of committing violent acts against the Black Lives Matter peaceful protesters.
Rittenhouse and other thugs claimed they were there to protect businesses from further damage, but there were no official calls by lawful authorities to get additional armed assistance from the general public. Whenever people show up in public, uninvited by authorities, and armed with firearms, their presence is illegal. In fact a curfew was in effect.
Gunmen who show up at a trouble spot, violating curfew orders, and carrying weapons have no legitimate reason for being there and cannot honestly claim self defense if they shoot someone. Self defense only applies when a person is defending his home, farm, business, or vehicle but not when stalking a known trouble spot while armed and in violation of an emergency curfew. Reasonable people stay home to protect their home. Armed troublemakers who shoot and kill people in public in a period of unrest are DOMESTIC TERRORISTS.
Kyle Rittenhouse was charged by the State of Wisconsin with homicide but got away with murder because white boys can get away with such things in white communities. Regardless of what a crooked judge and incompetent jury say, Kyle Rittenhouse is a domestic terrorist, and I hope he faces federal charges. Furthermore, right wing politicians who encourage STOCHASTIC TERRORISM should be prosecuted.

ISIS, meet the C-Men: Scotland Yard shows off the first of 600 awesomely armed (and masked) Counter-Terrorism firearms officers who hit the streets today in vans, boats and MOTORBIKES
Heavily armed new police patrols have been deployed on the streets of London today after a wave of terror attacks in Europe.
Met Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe unveiled the plan to put more highly visible patrols, armed to the teeth with pistols and semi-automatic SIG Carbine rifles, at major landmarks as a deterrent to potential attackers.
As well as guns, the new generation of armed officers also have BMW F800GS motorbikes to allow them to scramble to an incident anywhere in the capital and speed boats so they can deploy from the Thames.
The new officers are masked in order to protect their identity from attackers, which can help in a variety of different circumstances - from hostage situations, targeted attacks to kidnap attempts. The masks provide an extra layer of safety for counter-terrorism officers as they carry out their various specialist tasks.
But today's announcement - dubbed Operation Hercules by the Met - came against a backdrop of warnings from the Police Federation that it will take two years to deliver a promised increase of 1,500 in the trained-strength of armed officers across the country.
Of the new officers, 600 will be based in London and today's announcement revealed the first cohort to be trained.
More British police officers are carrying guns after a spate of attacks on the continent, including the Bastille Day massacre in Nice and the murder of a priest in a Normandy Church last week. The expanded firearms units were promised after the Paris attacks last November.
ir Bernard said the additional armed officers were the first cohort from a planned group of 600 due to be trained to carry firearms - with 1,500 due to be trained across the country.
Speaking in Hyde Park, Sir Bernard said: 'People aren't fools - they know that in the event that there is a firearms attack, we are going to have to respond with firearms.
'They pass through airports where we have armed officers, they pass through railway stations where they see firearms.
'In some of our big iconic locations, we've already got armed patrols - if you look at Parliament, Downing Street - so it's not entirely new.
'I think people understand that where you are going to have people as enemies who've got guns, we've got to have guns.
'It's unusual, but it's an entirely rational and reasonable response to make sure that people are aware that we've got the guns, and if we have to use them we've got people well-equipped to do that.'
The Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers - dubbed C-men - can deploy by road, river or air in the event of an emergency.
NINE WEEKS OF TRAINING TO CARRY A GUN
Firearms officers in the Metropolitan Police go through a rigorous selection and training process before they are allowed on to the streets with a gun.
They have to pass a selection process in their local area, then one in the force's firearms department, before being put through an initial assessment.
A nine-week training course follows, and upon successful completion the officer will be ready to carry a handgun, larger semi-automatic weapon and Taser.
Firearms officers are deployed in teams of three in armed response vehicles, which also carry less lethal weapons such as shotguns that can be used, for example, for dangerous animals.
Marksmen who want to specialise in counter-terrorism will spend a significant period of time as part of a routine firearms team, before additional training of at least three months.
The elite squads, which now cover the capital 24 hours a day, are trained to operate in a range of environments including on water, abseiling and on motorbikes.
In the event of terrorist gunmen staging a mass shooting, the officers are trained to go forward to confront the attackers and stop them.
This may mean having to leave casualties behind, potentially including their colleagues.
NEW POLICE TERROR OFFICERS GIVEN ADVENTURE BMW BIKES FOR MOUNTING CURBS AND DRIVING OFF-ROAD TO BEAT LONDON'S GRIDLOCKS
The new generation of armed officers in London have been given top of the range adventure motorbikes to allow them to scramble to an incident anywhere in the capital.
The new generation officers won't need training for the grey BMW F800GS motorbikes as they will ride passenger, with colleagues from the British Transport Police driving the vehicle.
The motorbikes boast long suspensions and high ground clearance to make it easier to mount curbs and drive off-road.
F800GS bikes are powered by 798cc 4-stroke twin cylinder engines that develop 85 horse power and a top speed of 140mph.
One officer said the new bikes would allow terror police to ride off road to get around congestion on London's roads.
'Traffic can be gridlocked at the best of times - certainly in the times of an attack,' the officer told Sky News. 'If you look at Europe, at Paris and Belgium, traffic becomes a major impingement on a rapid response.
'We've looked at tactics and pillion riding with motorcycles gives us a very fast and effective response.
'The guys practice riding off road so they can bump up and down across pavements and make really good progress from A to B.'

After The American Civil War or as some Southerners still call it, "The War of Northern Aggression" there was still chaos and disorder in Dixie. There arose what I deem to be a terrorist organization called the Ku Klux Klan which existed to reimpose white dominance over the black population through the use of terror, arson, and lynchings. There were several waves of participation in this group. The first wave followed the end of the Civil War and then in the 1920's there was another bout of interest. Even to this day some join and we have had Klansmen stage a parade here in Ann Arbor. They were a group from Indiana and not at all popular here, but we have that darned "free speech" right in this country, so they had their parade. These robes date to 1925.

The training was part of the Mars series of exercises used by the 2nd Commando Regiment’s online hostage recovery/counter-terrorism company to build capacity in its role as Tactical Assault Group—East (TAG–E). TAG–E is the Australian Defence Force’s ‘in extremis’ online counter-terrorist force, which is designed to respond to a terrorist incident in the national interests or to support state/territory police when their own resources are insufficient.
2nd Commando Regiment soldiers successfully assaulted a Sydney ferry in Middle Harbour from 6th Aviation Regiment Black Hawk helicopters and rigid-hulled inflatable boats in one of the counter-terrorism training scenarios. Other training scenarios involved conducting assaults on high-rise buildings, sporting arenas, ships, aircraft and other types of transport. TAG–E is drawn from 2nd Commando Regiment and supplemented with Royal Australian Navy clearance divers and Special Operations Engineer Regiment combat engineers.
2nd Commando Regiment is part of the Australian Army’s Special Operations Command, which provides the Australian Government and Army with special forces capabilities in support of the national interest.

All relevant and extensive information about the Hong Kong Police Force is available on their website
It is very comprehensive, the Hong Kong Police Force has a highly organised structure.
All Hong Kong Police Vehicles use the AM licence plate ie 2 digits and up to 4 numbers | Police vehicles have different colours, normal Police vehicles are white with red and blue stripes, the Police Traffic Division vehicles are white with yellow and blue checkerboard design.
Amazingly the Police Force have their own superstitions as well, the majority of the licence plates on Police Vehicles have lucky number combinations involving the numbers 6,8, and 9 ! Basically 6 means easy life, 8 means wealth and 9 means long life - this is very much Hong Kong Culture. The Police also use unmarked vehicles extensively which are NOT identified by the AM mark.
The Police Museum at 27 Coombe Road at the Peak is also worth a visit, see details on the website listed above.
