My apologies if these drop shots are getting monotinous. I appreciate I'm not the only photographer uploading such images to Flickr but I am finding my new drop kit highly addictive!

This is a two drop collision using full fat milk with some blue food colouring added to the mix.

Thanks in advance for any comments or favourites you may wish to make.

For Sonia and Lisa for having fun.

Just a normal day for Cob and MadT.

The Angel Oak, near Charleston, SC.

I've never really had any qualms about removing things like powerlines or trash. I went slightly further this time in an attempt to show this place in a more naturalistic state, but don't want to misrepresent anything. In reality, a half dozen of the angel oak's limbs (mostly the ones toward the back of the picture) have now grown too large to support themselves, so the property managers had to add wooden supports to help hold them up.

One of the last captures with my failing D7000 .... :-(

Here's a weird thing that maybe someone with a Green Thumb can help me understand --

Why is it that I so often see hostas with ferns growing up through the middle of them? Like, hostas interruptus or something?

That's what this is, of course -- a fern that is poking its way up through one of our hostas. Are some ferns weeds? Do ferns just like to hang out with hostas? Maybe hostas don't like ferns, though -- y'know, the fern's all like, "Do you want to hang out? Do you want to play a board game? My Mom says I should stop touching myself or I'll grow hair on my fronds, does your Mom tell you that? Does she?"

And the hosta's just like, "Dude, I... I don't know you."

Plan D tonight! I'd tried 3 ideas that were on my 'to do' list but I just wasn't feeling them. So, I had a cuddle off the dog to get me back down from the ceiling and set about finding something to shoot.

I have this lovely glass blown bauble in my room so that was chosen to be my subject.

A couple of off camera speedlights gelled my usual orange and blue and here we have day 63. Think I like it too :)

Processed slightly differently than the previous.

Shot @ Malibu Beach. the background and octopi are real. shot & processed digitally.

Great lockdown fun!

At first, they were separated

yet still close

but as each surge of the ocean cycled through

it drew them closer

until they were side by side

and united a force that could withstand

the oncoming ocean

a relentless force and a infinite force.

Until they finally succumbed

to the inevitable destiny

of the ocean

and were pulled in

love until the end

And one more picture of birch alley in the last rays of winter sunlight. The light on the branches made a curious effect. It reminded me of tentacles.....
