Clownfish:
Depending on the species, Clownfish are usually yellow, orange, or a reddish or blackish color, and many have white bars or patches. The largest Clownfish can reach a length of six inches.
Clownfish are found in the warmer waters of the Indian Ocean, the Red Sea, Pacific Ocean, the Great Barrier Reef, Southeast Asia, Japan, and the Indo-Malaysian region.
Clownfish typically live at the bottom of shallow seas in sheltered reefs or in shallow lagoons.
Clownfish and sea anemones have a cooperative relationship, each providing many benefits to the other. The sea anemone protects the Clownfish from predators, as well as providing food through the scraps left from the anemone's meals and occasional dead anemone tentacles, and functions as a safe nest site. In return, the Clownfish defends the anemone from its predators and parasites.

I haven't done a guessing game for quite some time. Can anyone guess what this is?

Here's the reveal: I am amazed at how many of you got this right! Yes, it is a metal scalp massager, and it feels just heavenly on the scalp, if you've never tried one. It was really fun reading all the comments - thank you for playing along :)

There is a Māori story that Castlepoint (Rangiwhakaoma) was visited by Kupe, the great Polynesian navigator, when he was chasing a giant octopus and discovered Aotearoa in the process. According to this story, the octopus hid in a cave under Castle Point, before escaping. The spectacular, erosion-shaped rocks surrounding the Castlepoint Lighthouse very much strike me as the tentacles of this octopus.
I don't know what these are, but they bloom every autumn and early spring. They were growing in the neighbour's yard, so I went over to photograph them, hoping he wouldn't think I was shooting his house :) I've never actually said more than hello to him, but he does have the loveliest garden out front.

Multi-lobed stigma of Epiphyllum oxypetalum (Queen of the Night) bloom in macro. I suspect the luminance is part of the repertoire of adaptations which make the flower visible in the darkness of its native jungle as it blooms only at night.
