It's possible to control your entire site through HiFi's web-based template editor. It is super-fast and easy to use.
The easiest way to make a felted babyhat is to first lay your wool all around the full resist and when the wool is felted but not yet fulled cut away the marked areas. Like this the flaps have no thin edges and the entire hat is nice and even. Then full it till it will absolutely shrink no more, the felt will then be nearly fully wind and rain proof. Merino shrinks a good 30% to 35% so make your resist large enough. The widest bit should be half the circumference of the head +30%
The main reason i have been making these templates is to tidy up my album presentations. The problem is that due to the way Flickr works, when you create an album and assign an image as the the album cover, unless it is a square format, Flickr auto crop the image which sometimes doesn't look very good. By using a square photo as your album cover it looks ok in your album list but when opening the album, the main photo header often looks terrible. The way i have got over it to some extent is to create a square photo montage like the one above. The critical area is across the center as this is what shows up as the header when opening the album. Unfortunately Flickr still fades out the borders of the photo. Why? who knows.. Another interesting thing i just found out is that if you use this template As your Front page header, the second row of images from the top get displayed on your photostream Which could be useful if you wish to change your photostream photo's.... The template size is 5120 x 5120 pixels. You will obviously need some form of photoshop. I use a combination of Microsoft picture it! Photo premium 9 which i have had for years and often use ipiccy which is a free app that is pretty easy to use.. Anyway.. using Microsoft picture it! Photo premium 9 you would simply have to cut out the second row of photo's and replace them with your choice then upload the template with the new images and set them as your photostream header.. I know someone will probably send me details of a simple app where you add three photos and it does all the work for you : ) If there is such a thing!
So just to recap.. If you used the above image as your photostream header you will see my current header display or if you click on my Empire builder album you will see the middle image as the header...

All you need is a piece of paper and a crayon. Lay the paper on top of the template and scribble...waaalaaa! A piece of art!
Ever wonder how Sign Companies mount individual letters and get them straight? Well here you can see a sign template taped to the wall. View it on large and you can see that the letters for the word Market are drawn on the template. Before the letters are tightened down, the template is then torn off the building.
This appears to be an LED sign being installed. I didn't see any neon tubing after they had hung a few letters up. I saw a series of red dots on wires, so I assume its LED.

It was difficult to hold the template in place when I drilled the second hole, and to keep the distance equal on all the fittings, I put a bolt in the fist hole. This held the template in place and helped me drill the second hole with the same angle as the first.
