Photography doesn't just capture the moment. It opens the Photographer's Mind
I wish summer would last forever...
This 1964 Pontiac Tempest is a convertible, with a 326 V8. Photographed at the Tonica, Illinois Cruise Night, August 24, 2013.
I like the retro styling on this Lexmoto Tempest. A made in China 125cc four stroke. I've no idea if they are any good.
Bob Bailey was up and modified John's glider with underside fabric braces which hold the shape better to reduce stall speeds and increase top end. Massey Aerodrome - June 2010.
The Tempest
As I watched
the drowning droplets
and falling leaves
I was jolted back
from the sound
of rain on the roof
as red lights flashed
on wet pavement
and life went on.
The storms passed
if you were lucky
and you were free
to watch the birds
and the changing seasons
always scanning the horizon
for the next big bump
in a too big world.
All these thoughts
were but the span
of seconds.
My girl's home and in one piece! I'm really excited to have my first BJD with her face up completed. I love everything about her, and I really want to thank Familiar Stranger who did her face up. She was really fast, worked my ideas into something that I'm over the moon about, and was really great to work with. She also blushed some horns that aren't in these pictures (but they are on Familiar Stranger's photostream), but I really wanted pictures of her hat.
As I expected, once my girl came home, she was very clear about her name, and personal style. She's a knight of the Seelie court, and her given name is Geneva, but she's know as The Tempest. I still have to make her some new clothes, and eventually armor, but I think my starter outfit will do for now. I'm also really glad her hat fits since I made it while she was away.
Tempest is a ResinSoul Yao. Her face up was done by Familiar Stranger, her wig is Hello Spring from LeekeWorld, her chips are stock, her top is by Lauren Payton on Etsy (Plum Blossom's Closet), and her hat is 9 Dwindling Cables, knitted by me.
