The woodies on a family outing. As I was clearly a threat Dad was positioned out in front as they approached, switched to this position as they passed me and then as they sailed off to the right Mum and Dad dropped back to protect the rear as the kids swam ahead. All seemingly done by telepathy.

I spotted this crab spider on a Japanese anemone in my garden, but whenever I approached within a couple of metres, she* would scurry away and hide under the petals. I decided to try to build up some trust between us, so every evening after work, I would slowly approach and use my amazing spider telepathy powers to assure her I meant no harm, backing away as soon as she started looking worried. After a few days of this, I managed to get close enough for a photo, even if she was still a little shy.
I wish we could have had another photo session on another day, but unfortunately, strong winds came overnight and blew the flower and my new friend away.
