Baharestan palace and square are among the oldest structures in Tehran. The founder of the palace was Mirza Hossein Khan Sepahsalar. The statue in the middle of the square is that of Ayatollah Modarres.
To the north of the square was Negarestan Garden of Fat'hali Shah. A number of buildings were constructed later in the area and most of these buildings currently belong to the University of Tehran.
Baharestan is the name given to the historic Iranian parliament building. The old and new parliament buildings are near the square.

Tehran being among top 15 largest cities in the world has a major traffic issue. With over 13 million inhabitants who rely on their cars for transportation and livelihood the capitals authorities' top priority is to ease the congestion in Tehran streets. Many initiative have been implemented to ease the congestion since 25 years ago that have produced some relief. These inititaives have not stopped.

P.S: Shooting people discretely, knowing what you are doing is not right and feeling a bit embarrassed as a result doesn't give you much chance to be creative or capture the right moment. Apologies for the awkward moment captured but conveys the message anyway.
