These don't bite, though...

Except you count frostbite...😁

The upwelling of a lava flow created these plates called "dragon's teeth" all along the north rim of the peninsula at Makaluapuna Point, Maui, Hawaii. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz filters.

Dragon’s Teeth was formed as a result of one of the last lava flows from West Maui Volcano thousands of years ago. The lava flow met the intense ocean waves and strong sea winds causing it to jut upwards, cool, and harden, creating the jagged black rock appearance.

I haven't been able to get out shooting for way too long. Yesterday, I asked my sherpa if he would mind chauffering me downtown and stopping and waiting at various locations while I got out and shot some architecture. He was happy to do it as I'd been dying to get out there. I've been waiting probably two years to photograph this building. It is still not quite complete, with a construction fence around it and the road closed with construction guys everywhere. One of them was kind enough to point out the best vantage point, but I think I found an even better one. This is the Alberni, a 43 story building designed by Kengo Kuma. From a distance it looks as though there is a large bite taken out of one side. It is quite close to buildings on either side, but maybe one day I'll be able to get the entire height of it in one image. For now, here is a taste.

You will be seeing a few more architectural images intersperced with my other ones :)

Teeth hungry for wood, not beaver teeth but metal circular saw teeth, three different configs in a stack.

Not much else need be described.

Once in a while it is necessary to update the branches of your tree. While loppers are only suitable for branches with a diameter of more than 4 or 5 cm, the lop saw can easily handle thicker wood. But it remains to be careful with the sharp teeth of the saw

This rocks formation called "Devil's teeth" on the Senja island near Tromso in Norway is a "must see" spot on the Senja trip. I spend just a few minutes here and promised to be back next time.

LIITLE RED RIDING HOOD:

Hello grandma..I brought biscuits for you

GRANDMA; (distorted voice)

Thank you dear...you are so delici....eh so sweet Little Red Ridinghood

LIITLE RED RIDINGHOOD:

There is something strange about you grandma.

Hm...I know! It's your teeth! They're suddenly so big!

GRANDMA:

Oh...well...eh....yes...you're right. I got dentures.

My teeth were rotten.

LIITLE RED RIDINGHOOD:

How terrible for you grandma. Then you won't be able to eat biscuits for a while.

Then it's better not to give them to you.

Then I'll go back home now

Bye grandma (waves goodbye)

GRANDMA: (angry)

Grrr....The plan has failed!

Now I have to starve to death

Smile on Saturday's theme: Smile and show your teeth

This is why you shouldn't get too close to a crocodile ... These teeth don't belong to a living crocodile but to a crocodile skull and I therefore didn't have to risk my life to get this photo.:)
