I'm a bit behind on my photography, but I've come across a few neat Figma pieces in recent months, even one from NYCC, which considering I'm spending American dollars was kind of unexpected for me.
Kasumi here, however, had more humble roots - she came home with me during an excursion to Edmonton, AB back in August. $50 CAD, almost complete missing the stand, which as we all know, is probably the easiest thing to replace.
I honestly have no idea why I never ordered one when it was first solicited, though knowing my cheap ass it was likely because I was waiting for a sale. I believe only White and Black were made, and sculpted in the art style of a VERY popular 1/6 scale PVC statue of Kasumi that Good Smile did back in the day - so much so that the set comes with an extra waist section to recreate that pose, though you're not going to get the pulled stocking effect. Weird thing though, I thought all the straps on the Black version were gold, but the shin guards feature red straps.
Other accessories really have to do with her Tanto, allowing you to display it both in or out of the scabbard, though the hand I find didn't really grip the handle that well.
Sculpting is generally quite faithful to the original piece, though due to smaller size some details weren't carried over, and sadly, due to the being a Figma, Kasumi isn't quite as thicc as she ought to be.
One neat thing (well, neat to me) is that they gave the chest the ability to move away from the body. This doesn't so much make her already impressive bosoms bigger (I think these make the in game ones look small) but rather, it allows for more ab crunch range of motion when doing the statue pose.
Articulation isn't bad, pretty much what you expect from a Figma. Having said that, it's just really weird to have a character known for her assortment of vertical kicks be unable to replicate any of those kicks. On a related note, I found it interesting that she was lacking several trademark hand gestures.
Paint and Build are pretty typical, for better or for worse. The weakest paint application on the set by FAR is the mouth on the side glance face. Build wise, there is the aforementioned grip issue with the Tanto - otherwiwse it's pretty solid.
