March 26, 2014. Over 1500 high school students attended UL Lafayette College of Engineering's Expo this year. Each student had the opportunity to watch demonstrations from each of the engineering disciplines taught at UL Lafayette and speak with current students. In addition, the attendees were able to speak with alumni working in the industry and participate in an egg drop or mystery design contest.
Two graduates from the Morris County School of Technology have been awarded grants from the New Jersey Association of Counties Foundation and Wells Fargo to continue their education at a state college or university or at a community college in the state. Jeffrey Ventura and Crystal Lorenzo each received a $450 grant. Visiting with Russ Ogi of Rapid Technologies, a 3-D printing, prototyping, and design firm. After seeing the equipment and some items in their Executive Centre office, we checked out an exhibit of more artistic pieces at Louis Pohl Gallery.
Technology Access Foundation broke ground today on the their new learning space at King County's Lakewood Park.
This scene (in the Portrait Gallery in DC) kinda made me chuckle. An older couple in front of a myriad display of technology. Not that older folks can't appreciate or use technology, but I do think it's just so different for them. Almost like they don't understand why our generation seems to rely on it so much. I think I'm (mostly) on their side :)
