I have been informed that this device represents the latest and most sophisticated technology applied to Web-surfing to date. Naturally it works only for Flickr subscribers; those using Flickr without bothering to pay for it are not eligible for the level of service provided by this thing.
Although I am privy to many aspects of the inner workings of Flickr, the nature of this equipment has not been explained to me ("I am not worthy"), thus I can only guess its purpose. The presence of the reflector-like nodes leads me to believe that this is somehow integrated into the system that turns young-but-inquisitive surfers away from sets marked as "for adults only." Perhaps the beacon at the top is a warning signal. The other physical components cause me great mental strain. Maybe one day this will be explained to all, but for now we must remain ignorant-but-blessed.
Observant surfers will recognize the design as something akin to folk art installed at Dick and Jane's Spot, a private residence in Ellensburg, Washington. The similarity is purely co-incidental. Geotagging points to the location of said folk art, not to the Flickr installation. Trust me.

Two great Boeing products, the 787 Dreamliner and the C-17, sit nose to nose as the Dream Tour continues in Long Beach, California. The 787 is the most recent recipient of the Collier Trophy for the greatest American aeronautic achievement of the year. The C-17, assembled at the Boeing plant in Long Beach, is a former Collier winner.

NASA's Hyperwall at the U.S. Exhibition Stand at GEO-X.
From January 13 to 17, 2014 Geneva’s CICG is the site of a major international conference and exhibit aimed at improving access to critical information on the global environment. The GEO-X Plenary and Geneva Ministerial Summit brings together experts from 90 governments and nearly 70 organizations and will include an exhibit of cutting edge technology and more than 30 forums and panel discussions, many open to the general public. Topics include Agriculture and Food Security, Measuring Biodiversity, Disaster Risk Reduction, Cholera Early Warning, Ocean Acidification, UNEP Live!, and Water Security. The summit will be presided over by GEO’s four co-chairs: China, the European Commission, South Africa and the United States. The United States will be represented at GEO-X by a high level multiagency delegation.
For nearly a decade, the Group on Earth Observations (GEO) has been driving the interoperability of thousands of individual space-based, airborne and in situ Earth observations around the world. Often these separate systems yield just snapshot assessments, leading to critical gaps in scientific understanding. GEO is addressing such gaps by providing easy, open access to organized observations that enable an increasingly integrated view of our changing Earth. Summit participants will look at how the international community can increase the sustainability and quality of observation networks and make the maximum possible volume of data freely accessible. For sound science to shape sound policy, leaders and other decision-makers require this fuller picture as an indispensable foundation of environmental decision-making.

Inception of Drone Engineering Survey in India is a progressive administration offered by Aerial Photo and served everywhere throughout the country. Designing studies assume a critical job in a large portion of the business fields by gathering the pre-required data to begin a project, for example soil study, Area Survey, LiDAR Survey, Contour Maps and some more. Indeed, even Drone building overview can likewise be utilized for arranging and the board purposes.
"The newest computer can merely compound, at speed, the oldest problem in the relations between human beings, and in the end the communicator will be confronted with the old problem, of what to say and how to say it." Edward R. Murrow

yes, they do all work - even the 1st gen 10Gb scroll wheel one. Missing the iPod Touch (because I can't find it quickly enough to include) and a black 1st gen nano on permanent loan out.
Working in television, these are some of the things that I have collected over the years...From back row left, an old green phosphorus cathode ray tube for a monitor, 1" Tape reel (both I'm positive older than me)...
(Front row left to right) Old 8mm movie camera, my first digitial camera, Nikon 4300, and then an old box camera with an attached flash and bulb.
I had these sitting on a book shelf in my home office, a couple of tea light candles, bounced a blue light source off a bounce board and thought it would make a good still life...What do you think?

An installation of Don Quixote and a Windmill, right outside the Auroville Town Center.
An Italian friend was explaining the story to me, and I jumped up and squinted into the sun and said "Waitaminit! I know this story from an Asterix comic! This is Don Quixote!"
A Spanish guy spoke from behind me, "It's pronounced 'Quichote'."
Me, eager in my eagerness to be learned, repeated, "Quichote?".
I guess it wasn't "Quichote", because he gave me a weird look for like five seconds and then took off. He must've thought I was making fun of him. Or maybe I'm just fugly.

Yet all of these new devices and new media outlets can help the future generation. Children have more outlets and more interesting ways to learn. Yet there is still that debate that if we focus learning with computers and technology children could begin to loose some of that social learning we all develop throughout school.

KMB have only 3 of these ADL Enviro 500 hybrid buses. They are very unusual, especially to ride on with some of the sounds they make ! The rear end with its slab side and extra gubbins reminds me of certain ECW coach olympians which neighbouring citybus had. These buses seem to like the 219X route at the moment up to Laguna City.
