In order for students to gain a better familiarity of their operation, an Adept linear robotics system will be equipped with Hamilton PSD/2 syringe pumps and a CRS gripper. With the addition of a terminal, supply and wash station, the syringe pumps and Adept will operate underneath National Instruments’ LabVIEW software environment. Over 65 technology leaders and technologists gathered at the Centre for Life, Newcastle upon Tyne on Tuesday 12th April for the launch of the Harvey Nash 2016 technology survey. Surrounded by some 40 robots from TV and film and the 4D ride experience, the scene was set.
The survey results were presented by Rob Grimsey, Harvey Nash plc followed by a future focused CTO Alan Flower, HCL technologies, who discussed the evolution of Enterprise IT and how we need to evolve as technologists to keep up with the rate of disruptive change that we are seeing not only in technology but in business in general.
