Denver Technological Center, better known as The Denver Tech Center or DTC, is a business and economic trading center located in Colorado in the southeastern portion of the Denver Metropolitan Area, within portions of the cities of Denver and Greenwood Village. It is home to several major businesses and corporations. The DTC roughly corresponds to the area surrounding the I-25 corridor between I-225 and SH 88 (Arapahoe Road).

The DTC was established in the early 1970s. Cable companies United Cablevision, United Artists Cable, and later AT&T Broadband, all had their start in -- and still have major infrastructure around -- the Denver Tech Center. In the Colorado area, Bill Daniels and John C. Malone were early adopters who shepherded many standards in cable technology still used today.

One limit to Ron Kaufman's ground penetrating radar is the soil's conductivity: higher conductivity increases the "noise" the equipment picks up and makes the picture of below-ground sediments harder to understand.

Day 363: More computer issues just about reduced me to tears last night...of course, the sleep deprivation from the night before might have something to do with it...

A technological and architectural marvel like no other. This is the Dutch version of the Taj Mahal, a long-wave radio station built in the 1920s in a sandy middle of nowhere to keep contact with the colonies.

It's disused now, and a very eerie feeling hangs around the place. Approaching it feels like entering the holy grounds of a long-lost cult. (it must be mentioned that the natives appear friendly)

Didn't leave the house again, but spent the day wrestling with the technological hurdle of somehow getting the DRM encrypted file from Apple Music of Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour onto a DVD that could be watched on the telly - or even better on the 80" big screen...

As you can see, I managed it ;)

Historic 1927 Dairy Barn on the campus of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The Bungalow style barn and adjacent grain silo housed the cows used by the school’s Animal Husbandry Department. The barn was one of six original campus buildings. The barn and silo were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992 (NRHP No. 92000336 as the Texas Technological College Dairy Barn). They are also contributing resources to the 1996 Texas Technological College Historic District (NRHP District No. 96000523). Biomimicry – technological innovation inspired by nature – is one of the hottest ideas in science but has yet to yield many practical advances. Time for a change. Berkeley Lab scientists have mimicked the structure of mother of pearl to create what may well be the toughest ceramic ever produced.

Since first constructed in 1975, the University Union has been considered the “living room” of the campus, but technological changes, code requirements and the demand for more space created a much-needed addition and renovation for the building. This 72,000 SF, three-story expansion provides an amenity-rich addition at the heart of the Sacramento State campus with more meeting rooms, student spaces and offices for University functions. Delivered using the University’s innovative Collaborative Design-Build method, this LEED Gold-designed project engaged stakeholders in workshops throughout the design process, ensuring University staff and student expectations were captured.

The design solution gives the building an essential identity in a new main entry with an expansive double height pavilion, outdoor gathering space, and retail to activate the pedestrian zone. A large Starbucks and relocated Peak Adventures retail store with bicycle repair shop, greet the public once inside. A modern Games Room has new pool tables, ping pong, and various video game consoles for students to use between classes. Lounge spaces, divisible conference suites and open offices for Union-specific and ASI-related departments are also included to meet demand.

By creating more permeable and light-filled spaces on the north side and a discernible main entry, the University Union expansion is not only designed to fit demand and meet modern code requirements, it allows the Union to be a beacon for student life on the campus again.

The Technological and Cultural Park of Lavrion (T.P.P.L.) is a body of scientific research, education, business and culture. Founded in place of the old French Company Lavrion (Compagnie Francaise des Mines du Laurium) in 1992 on the initiative of the Athens Polytechnic School.

Today, after the termination of mining operations, the area of Lavrion retains its historical significance, and its unique beauty. The facilities of the 19th century and its surroundings have been declared historic, monuments by the Ministry of Culture and is an important example of industrial and mining technology of the past, a monument of human toil and important chapter in Greek industrial archeology.

In technological terms, the Cloud represents the knee in an exponential growth curve and the beginning of the "real" Internet. It's what the Internet was really meant to be in the first place -- an endless computer made up of networks of networks of computers.

The DON HONORIO VENTURA TECHNOLOGICAL STATE UNIVERSITY (DHVTSU) started when an Augustinian friar, Fr. Juan P. Zita, dreamed of helping young lads of Bacolor. Aided by equally benevolent civic leader Don Felino Gil, the school was officially founded on November 4, 1861 upon the approval of its statutes by Governor-General Lemery as "Escuela de Artes Y Oficios de Bacolor"
