EN:

There we were again, in a situation that would somehow be forbidden but, I don't know if thanks to his position as Major or perhaps because of his intimidating presence, nobody seemed to prevent. The metallic sound of the hangar felt like a distant echo in my ears as the runaway rhythm of my pulse mixed with the beat of the "engine" of his heart whilst the air escaped from my lips noticing the strength of his hold.

I reached his eyes at the same time my hands moved over his "double skin", a layer that worked both, as his clothes and armour, until I reached his face, trying to feel him, longing for that trace in the form of a caress to remain engraved somehow. That closeness and the intensity of his gaze caused a chill to run through my entire body.

I knew that he had to leave and I only hoped that, in that moment, he could read in my eyes everything that I could not express in words while my hand rested on him, seeking to bring him closer, to shorten that minimum distance and thus, be able to reach their lips and seal that farewell...

ESP:

"Through the exemplary destiny of five young farmers today, Michel Ragon immerses us in the drama of our countryside crushed, squared, rolled by Eurocrats, engineers, banks, Parisian enarques... He tells us says the end of the Dochagnes at the end of a peasant story masterfully begun with Les Mouchoirs rouges de Cholet; the end of a world, of a harmony with nature; the end of a certain humanism which breaks before the brutality, often absurd, of technocracy and excessive industrialization.

A story of an end but also a cry of revolt so that the earth does not die.

This novel shows us how individual stories break on the cataclysms of an era, how a poignant feeling of revolt, desolation, fury rises, how "the memory of the vanquished" survives everything, even the wildest hope. The poppies will always come back. Michel Ragon engages as a great novelist in the torments of this end of the century to better bear witness to his time."

The silence in the laboratory was interrupted and with it, the work in which she had been immersed in the last hours. The cause, the sound of his antigravity boots... something she knew well and that made a shivering sensation run through her body with each step as he approached.

The confident rhythm that those steps marked was mixed with her pulsations, now out of control, causing her to part her lips to take a deep breath when she perceived him behind her at that moment, just a few centimetres away, a distance that only made the sexual tension between both bodies to increase.

Before she had time to think of what to say or how to react, she felt his firm hand between her chin and neck, causing her to hold still with a mixture of feelings between fear and excitement, with her lips parted at the same time that he placed his index finger over them, caressing them in order to carry out a silent command.

EN Maybe between the shadows and in the shelter of the night, you have thought that he is like you, but he is not.

His skin is hard, gray coloured and cold, if you ever manage to touch him.

In his eyes, if he's close enough, you can read coordinates, numbers.. or maybe it's a language I don't know.

His smell reminds you of when you use disinfectant... or that new faux leather bag... or rather a mix of both.

Being around him makes you feel the same as when you saw your grandfather die, remember? The smell of death, fear and darkness... something that makes you live your nightmares, but for some reason, it also attracts you in a way that you can't explain... well... at least that's what my mother says.

Here, at this time, he is known as XI1569. A Construct or more accurately, a Bionoid.

He wasn’t born like you and me, he has been designed and made by and for the Technocracy*, from a material that is not entirely alive or technological, a mixture with the best DNA of living beings from the known planets in the Universe of the future and his own biotechnology.

A body that updates according to its needs, a body that continues improving just like Iteration X, the Convention within the Technocracy to which he belongs... and me...he says with some pride but also a little nervous. .. I'm his son.

How did he come to our time and why? I don't know, maybe one day I'll dare to ask him but I don't really care, what matters to me is that he is still with me* he says smiling although a little sad, with a gesture that reminds us of what he is despite his maturity and circumstances, an 8-year-old boy who misses his father*

Patients who were being treated to reinsert into Society or, from another point of view, RDs (Reality Deviants) being lobotomised to give up their freedom and become part of what THEY call Masses. The eternal fight, the so-called Ascension War where Science (Technocracy) prevails over Magic or what they consider manipulation of reality or superstition.

And there he was, someone between both worlds, killing anyone he came across. Only leaving traces of pain and blood in his path, without apparent mercy or remorse and not caring to hear the threats coming from the other side, the screams from the underworld and where he was sending all those people who were now just remains of flesh, bones and guts decomposing on the floor and part of the walls. That place would never be the same again. Now it was home for those souls who would probably seek revenge. But then again, even if he was well aware of all that, he didn't seem to care, he was used to have enemies... of all sorts... and to be prepared for them.

The sounds of laboratory machinery mixed with the sound of the engine in his 'heart' and the usual white noise of the ARES base, that sound that made him feel at home.

He, Major XI1569, was in a stasis chamber, conscious, awake and this time recovering from serious injuries, these had been caused by real damage training and at the maximum level in a 'Simulation' room that recreated a battle against External beings, creatures belonging to the other dimensions, or as some prefer to call them 'aliens', beings from beyond, whose existence is still unknown to Humanity of this century.

Inside that chamber, there was a material denser than water, although it did not prevent it from creating bubbles of a somewhat orange colour, which caressed his perfectly polished body, although now with great loss of his synthetic skin due to burns, not from fire, since it could withstand extreme temperatures, but from a non-terrestrial corrosive substance.

Just 30 minutes ago he had arrived there, crawling and with his vital signs at the limit, and now, he was there, in alert inside the stasis chamber, recovering and speaking with Controller Ferrer, the Director of the base, his Superior and Amalgam* colleague, although also and after the last few years, a friend.

Ferrer is a man who looks about 40 years old although his face has clear signs of fatigue due to intense work and few hours of sleep. He is 1.80m tall and has short light brown hair and blue eyes along with a beard of about 2-3 days, he is dressed in a futuristic-looking black work uniform always accompanied by a white coat which gives him the appearance of a Doctor (for a more precise reference, take Jesse Spencer in Doctor House in the last seasons :P) Ferrer

.....

*Excerpt from the conversation that happens through a Mental Procedure*

F: No limits?

XI1569 smiles, looking at him from inside the chamber, nodding slowly.

X: That's what I like to hear from the women I sleep with... and it's also what I apply to my life.

Ferrer, despite his efforts to maintain a neutral and emotionless gesture, raises his eyebrows and then denies.

F: And that's why you ended up in that state?... *pauses for a few seconds while X smiles a little more as if he didn't care about it*... I will adapt the parameters of the Simulation room, even though you regenerate relatively quickly, that level you used is not designed for a single user, and I don't even know how you survived... *adds partly as a reprimand*

X: Yeah...well if I die, I'll come back from there, I've done it before...*he says with an arrogant tone, raising his gesture somewhat, which forces the machines that work on him to adapt to their new position*

Ferrer swallows hard at the comment as if what he just said seemed like an aberration.

F: You know what I think about the use of RD** methods…

X: Then upgrade me and this will not happen again... *he adds almost as if it were an order, which makes Ferrer look at him something more serious although in partly, finding in those words a challenge, since considering that he comes from the future, there is not much in him that he feels capable of improving with current methods*

.....

*Amalgam: Group of Technocrats who have come together for a common cause/interest/project.

**RD: Reality Deviants, with 'RD methods' refers to what in the Mage Ascension RPG is understood as 'use of Magic', 'Mages' are the main antagonists of the Technocracy but XI1569 is part of both sides due to his history.

[This is a photograph that really needs to be enlarged to see the detail, especially the layers on the horizon. Double click.]

This shot was one of the last I took to conclude four hours of frantic activity. Lock down restrictions had started and I could not be sure how often I would be able to get out to take photos - in fact curfew breakers were threatened with prison in Tasmania.

I seriously wondered (and the world is far from out of the woods yet; "wars and rumours of wars" and all that) whether the sun was actually setting on human civilisation. Let's not kid ourselves, we are guaranteed nothing on this earth and have to fight for our freedom at every turn - especially in this age of Technocracy and Globalism.

And yet, hope is never far away. We see it every time we watch a sunset like this. We know instinctively that as human beings we are more than material beings and biological machines. As we expect the sun to rise again in the morning, so we "know" that darkness is not the end.

Researcher and author Niki Friedrich Raapana accidentally stumbled into a pilot programme of the UN's ultimate agenda back in 1999, in Seattle. In her search for answers she found that the consortium of players, stakeholders and prime movers had one thing in common: jargon !

e.g. 'Sustainable Development' is a term we are all familiar with by now and there are many others. Tracing the terminology she was able to find an entire system which had infiltrated our governments and was rewriting state policies and objectives. The European Union was founded upon these principles. Anyone notice what happened to the once nation states that make up the EU? (They're all dead.)

Jan Theuninck has been painting the evolution of Western totalitarianism for 20 years - he saw the evolution within the political spectrum where the socialist parties were lost (Fagospatose, 2001) in the Third Way (The third way is no way, 2004) movement of Clinton , Blair and Schröder with which they gave a face to communitarianism of the New World Order. He has often compared the latter to a new kind of National Socialism. Hull 74 of Kinamax's successful S series frigates had a long, but relatively modest service life, accumulating nearly 30 years of low intensity service before coming to her end as a target boat.

Today what little of her that remains can be seen resting upright in the Northern Yulika desert of Sterys V. How she came to rest there is uncertain, however it seems likely that residual inertia from kinetics testing propelled her to Sterys V, whereupon gravity did the rest.

Another day, or night, there in the ARES facilities, it was difficult to know when it was really day or night, there were few times that you had the opportunity to see the exterior, the surface of Mars. However, to not lose track of time, the rooms offered a permanent video 'window' to an unreal image of a futuristic utopian world, perhaps just an RPG environment and sometimes real videos of the arid surface of Mars.

Viktoria: I give consent, thank you for your service *response with the same tone

Agent: have a good night *says before turning and walking down the hall

XI1569: don't fuck with me... *whispers when he already moved a couple of meters away, entering the apartment and about to push her on his way in

*Viktoria can't help but shake her head at the situation, although without actually laughing

XI1569: this was my fucking day off ... *he says walking around the room annoyed, turning around to look at her * I asked for a pass to come here and this is what they gave me

*Viktoria walks silently approaching him, staying a short distance away.

Viktoria: I guess it's the base protocols... *frowns* if I'd known, I would have gone to pick you up or meet you somewhere to save this *smiles now getting closer to him as she runs a hand across his chest

XI1569: would you have come to pick me up? ..dressed like that? *looks at her up and down

Viktoria: I guess now you won't know... *whispers with a playful look

* XI1569 looks at her with a half smile, but doesn't say anything, he raises her hands to her hips and holds her there firmly without looking away from her eyes

Viktoria: All good with… *she says as she gets a little closer to him*… what did you have to do? * stares into his eyes, licking her lips after speaking

* XI1569 carefully observes her gestures, tilting her face a little

XI1569: it's my day off... right now I don't care if that's good or bad honestly... what have you done in this while? ... * he says looking towards her bed and checking if she has been 'entertained' in that time.

Viktoria: I made myself comfortable, had a drink, reviewed work reports, checked emails... *she sighs when she says this, although she watches him looking at the bed and raises an eyebrow curiously * I haven't slept….

XI1569: you haven't slept ... * he says, smiling a little to himself * you should have lied down for a while to bear what's coming tonight... although I think we're close to daylight...

* XI1569 moves away from her a little walking towards the weapon gun that she gave him and that she still has on her table, there, he loads it and checks its working system

Viktoria: I usually don't sleep much anyway... *she watches him walk away, looking away for a moment while he's distracted by the gun and frowning for a moment as if in doubt, then looking back at him* Controller Ferrer has summoned me to speak with him tomorrow... Well today *she says from the place where she is, now watching him with the gun

XI1569: and? ... *he says while checking the ammunition and pointing towards one of the walls

Viktoria: Don't give it any importance... it's your day off * she says with an affirmation gesture * it was just information... * she comments as she sits on the bed, crossing her legs while she watches him * I look forward you to trying it…

XI1569: and ... why don't you try it... * turns to look at her in a somewhat shady way... while he fits the ammunition that was spinning out of the weapon earlier

Viktoria: Oh…I tried it before I gave it to you. I wanted to make sure that everything was working properly... I wouldn't give you something that besides being obsolete doesn't work correctly, but I'm curious to know your opinion *she remains with her gaze fixed on him, following his movements as he speaks

XI1569: have you tried it? Are you sure?...*smiles a little more, approaching her slowly as if he were stalking her with that kind of shadow in his eyes, grabbing her tightly by the base of her jaw and part of her neck and then leaning over and biting her on the lips while his pulsations, so different from human ones, skyrocket, tensing up just before ending that kiss, dragging their fangs across her now injured lips before pulling away with the taste of blood in his mouth*…show me how you try it...*whispers in front of her with the height difference somewhat greater since she is now on her knees on the bed, bringing the barrel of the weapon closer to her lips to caress them, while he half-opens his own, still stained with her blood, looking at her attentively with the accelerated pulse while pressing the barrel a little more on her lips but gently, without accelerating anything...as if waiting to see if she understands what he wants to see...

Welcome to our hypothetical world...

Please, please take a look at this very, very similar shot by my 3x2 aspect ratio mentor, Toni F. I've only just now seen it myself but it would be remiss of me not to mention - and link to - it. Maybe Toni and I stalk the same places :-)

QUESTION WHAT THE MEDIA IS SELLING AS A PANDEMIC. SOMETHING SINISTER IS AT PLAY HERE. WE DON'T SHUT DOWN SOCIETY AROUND THE WORLD EVERY TIME PEOPLE GET SICK! THIS IS POPULATION CONTROL PLAIN & SIMPLE

This was the point where we entered Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, along the All American Road, National Scenic Byway (Utah) Route 12. GSENM is a 1.9 million acre natural wonder designated "National Conservation Land" and managed by a consortium of federal agencies.

As described by renowned Western writer Wallace Stegner in a 1960 letter to Wildland Research Center at the University of California:

"...In that desert climate the dozer and jeep tracks will not soon melt back into the earth, but the country has a way of making the scars insignificant. It is a lovely and terrible wilderness, such as wilderness as Christ and the prophets went out into; harshly and beautifully colored, broken and worn until its bones are exposed, its great sky without a smudge of taint from Technocracy, and in hidden corners and pockets under its cliffs the sudden poetry of springs.

...

We simply need that wild country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to its edge and look in. For it can be a means of reassuring

ourselves of our sanity as creatures, a part of the geography of hope."

Warehouse ASMR

EN: Her eyes spoke looking for a way to ask a question that she could not formulate due to fear or perhaps the excitement of that unexpected encounter in that warehouse where she had to collect some materials for her next project, but he... didn’t need or want a conversation, just take her body for a while, without explanations or apparent reasons and also, without her permission.

At every place, around every corner, in each next room, gallery, nightclub, beach, neighborhood, region there is always some thing, someone, someplace new and interesting to be found. The marvels others have become, created or inspired are endless in the data stream.

Sometimes I feel as though I am a disciple of a grand, religious technocracy. Or at the very least, sometimes I feel awareness of the gravity of spirit that dwells within these electronic light dreams created by the multitude of members of this grand communal dream world.

One thing is as certain about the data-stream dream world as it is about the mundane world; nothing lasts forever. Everything eventually fades, fails, crumbles into dust, dies or just goes away. I will miss the electronic dream world when one day, it's time too passes and it is a whisp in the night. A communal memory scattered in millions of minds across the globe.

Enjoy what you have, while you have it in both worlds. Sooner or later, it will all be gone

In the rapidly shrinking landscape of film stocks and, by now, the lonely desert of instant film availability, I thought it was time to experiment with oblique strategies (as always preached by Brian Eno). So I was most interested to discover another pioneer of a much needed anti-technocracy renaissance who is producing glass plates. It is only the beginning of production and there are still flaws in the coating of the plates as you can see from my image, but that is surely bound to be solved in future batches. I am very excited by the results. I only tested half a dozen plates, so far, but the results are very encouraging, and certainly worth further experimenting. This is indeed a viable alternative for me to the usual orthochromatic film I use for my portraiture. The modus operandi is very straight forward, something that was never so with the various attempts to re-produce polaroid-like instant films, after the demise of Polaroid. If you want to give it a go, here's the producer, a very friendly and professional manufacturer with an impeccable customer care: www.etsy.com/shop/Pictoriographica?ref=l2-shopheader-name

(Dr. J. Mercola, in uncutnews.ch/1000-privatjets-versammeln-sich-um-den-gross...)

Der Navdanya-Bericht „Erddemokratie: Connecting Rights of Mother Earth to Human Rights and Well-Being of All“, erklärt:

1,000 Private Jets Assamble to Execute The Great Reset

(Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola, articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2021/10/28/10...)

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

The wealthy elite travel to the World Economic Forum’s annual meetings via a “steady stream” of private planes and helicopters to discuss issues like global sustainability

By 2050, it’s estimated that aviation will contribute 22% of global carbon emissions; still, in 2019, more than 600 private planes arrived at the Davos Forum, and that doesn’t include the military planes that transported an additional 60 presidents and prime ministers

Jet-setters are carbon super-emitters; the idea that the elite can continue to pollute but simply purchase carbon credits to “offset” their pollution is a matter of smoke and mirrors

WEF and its partners are using the COVID-19 pandemic as “a unique window of opportunity” to rapidly usher in The Great Reset, which involves changing everything from future global relations and the direction of national economies to “the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons”

Part of the plan involves ushering in stakeholder capitalism, in which private corporations — not elected leaders — become “trustees of society,” putting your privacy and data, your food and your freedom at risk

At the start of each year, the world’s elite hop into their private jets and descend upon Davos, Switzerland, a city prized not only for its luxury ski resorts but also for hosting the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting.

Also known as the Davos Forum, the event takes on a different theme each year, providing a global platform for business leaders, government officials, academia and other members of society to discuss “critical issues.”1 WEF is one of the key players behind The Great Reset, with their “new normal” dictum that, by 2030, you will own nothing and be happy.2

In such a scheme, the world’s resources will be owned and controlled by the technocratic elite. All items and resources are to be used by the collective, while actual ownership is restricted to an upper stratum of social class. Just how “upper class”?

To even attend the WEF annual meeting, you must be privately invited or a member of WEF, which costs $60,000 to $600,000. The attendance badge for the meeting is extra and costs another $27,000 in 2020, just to get entrance to the conference.3

Arriving on Private Jets to Discuss Sustainability

The irony was palpable at Davos 2020, which brought in a “steady stream” of private planes and helicopters so their passengers could discuss the climate crisis and sustainability.4 In 2018, more than 1,000 private jets and helicopters similarly made their way to Davos and, in 2017, an estimated 200 private flights landed in the city each day during the event.5

By 2050, it’s estimated that aviation will contribute 22% of global carbon emissions. Still, in 2019, more than 600 private planes arrived at the Davos Forum, and that doesn’t include the military planes that transported an additional 60 presidents and prime ministers.6

But we needn’t worry about this indulgence of the upper classes at the expense of the environment, according to WEF. “Offering little self-awareness, leaders of the WEF claim that the jet-set class promises to purchase carbon credits to offset the emissions from their planes,” Forbes noted. This is yet another strategy of the technocratic elite to set up a new wave of colonization in the name of sustainability and “net zero” carbon emissions.

Rich Carbon Super-Emitters Plan to Buy Their Way Out

The deadline Bill Gates has given to reach net zero emissions is 2050.7 It’s another ironic statement coming from the jet-set elite. Gates lives in a 66,000-square-foot mansion and travels in a private jet that uses up 486 gallons of fuel every hour.8 As a result of buying up staggering amounts of farmland, he’s a major contributor to carbon emissions,9 and his jet-setting lifestyle also makes him a carbon “super-emitter.”10

But when it comes to the elite, it’s “do as I say, not as I do.” As explained by Vandana Shiva, in order to force the world to accept The Great Reset’s new food and agricultural system, new conditionalities are being created through net zero “nature-based” solutions, which are anything but good for the environment and favor the rich.

Navdanya’s report, “Earth Democracy: Connecting Rights of Mother Earth to Human Rights and Well-Being of All,” explains:11

“If ‘feeding the world’ through chemicals and dwarf varieties bred for chemicals was the false narrative created to impose the Green Revolution, the new false narrative is ‘sustainability’ and ‘saving the planet.’ In the new ‘net zero’ world, farmers will not be respected and rewarded as custodians of the land and caregivers, as Annadatas, the providers of our food and health.

… ‘Net Zero’ is a new strategy to get rid of small farmers in first through ‘digital farming’ and ‘farming without farmers’ and then through the burden of fake carbon accounting.

Carbon offsets and the new accounting trick of ‘net zero’ does not mean zero emissions. It means the rich polluters will continue to pollute and also grab the land and resources of those who have not polluted — indigenous people and small farmers — for carbon offsets.”

The idea that the elite can continue to pollute but simply purchase carbon credits to “offset” their pollution is simply a matter of smoke and mirrors. Speaking with Business Insider, Lucy Gilliam, with the European clean transport nonprofit Transport & Environment, stated, "You're not actually removing the emissions that have been created by that plane. The plane will have burned that fuel, and the carbon has been released into the atmosphere."12

Davos 2021: Execute The Great Reset

In 2021, due to the pandemic the Davos Forum was held virtually in January and again in person in Singapore in August. During the five-day January event, which was attended by 1,507 people from “the highest levels of leadership,” five domains of The Great Reset Initiative were discussed, including:13

Designing cohesive, sustainable and resilient economic systems.

Driving responsible industry transformation and growth.

Enhancing stewardship of our global commons.

Harnessing the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Advancing global and regional cooperation.

It’s made clear that the COVID-19 pandemic has created “a unique window of opportunity” to rapidly usher in The Great Reset, which involves changing everything from future global relations and the direction of national economies to “the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons.”14

The end goal is to “build a new social contract,”15 which sounds like a lofty goal while telling you exactly nothing. “Build back better” is a tagline that’s used often with The Great Reset, and though this is being played off as a new initiative, it’s actually a rebranding of terms for technocracy and the old “New World Order.”

Part of the plan involves the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which Schwab has been discussing since at least 2016,16 and which “is characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital and biological spheres.”

In terms of government, the Revolution will bring new technological powers that allow for increased population control via “pervasive surveillance systems and the ability to control digital infrastructure.”17 As for as its effects on people, Klaus Schwab, WEF’s founder and executive chairman, wrote in 2016:18

“The Fourth Industrial Revolution, finally, will change not only what we do but also who we are. It will affect our identity and all the issues associated with it: our sense of privacy, our notions of ownership, our consumption patterns, the time we devote to work and leisure, and how we develop our careers, cultivate our skills, meet people, and nurture relationships.

It is already changing our health and leading to a ‘quantified’ self, and sooner than we think it may lead to human augmentation. The list is endless because it is bound only by our imagination.”

Davos 2022: Ushering in Stakeholder Capitalism

Davos 2022 will take place in January 2022, with plans to continue The Great Reset narrative. The theme, “Working Together, Restoring Trust,” will focus on “accelerating stakeholder capitalism, harnessing the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and ensuring a more inclusive future of work.”19

Also known as stakeholder economy, Forbes described stakeholder capitalism as “the notion that a firm focuses on meeting the needs of all its stakeholders: customers, employees, partners, the community and society as a whole.”20

The idea of stakeholder capitalism has been around since at least 1932, and was also endorsed by nearly 200 CEOs of large corporations in August 2019.21 However, it is now being accelerated as part of The Great Reset.

“Business has now to fully embrace stakeholder capitalism, which means not only maximizing profits, but use their capabilities and resources in cooperation with governments and civil society to address the key issues of this decade. They have to actively contribute to a more cohesive and sustainable world,” said Schwab.22

However, forms of stakeholder capitalism have already been tried and failed, because balancing conflicting stakeholder claims was near-impossible and only led to mass confusion and poor returns.23 The failure of this strategy is what led big businesses to focus on maximizing shareholder value instead.

The Future of Food, Privacy and Freedom Are at Stake

In stakeholder capitalism, private corporations become “trustees of society,” as Schwab said, which he added is “clearly the best response to today’s social and environmental challenges.”24 But while it sounds like a good thing to have corporations looking out for their customers, suppliers, employees and society as a whole, the underlying theme is that private corporations take power over society — not elected leaders.

WEF is partnered with multinational corporations that lead the food, oil, technology and pharmaceutical industries. What does a future look like in which these corporations call all the shots? We’ve already seen snippets, such as the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit, which prompted boycotts from farmers and human rights groups over claims that it favored agribusiness interests, elite foundations and the exploitation of African food systems.25

In terms of Big Tech, it’s possible it would end up as its own global governing body, wielding increasing power over society. Your privacy and data, your food and your access to medications would all be under the control of these corporate “custodians.” As political scientist Ivan Wecke wrote in Open Democracy:26

“The plan from which The Great Reset originated was called the Global Redesign Initiative. Drafted by the WEF after the 2008 economic crisis, the initiative contains a 600-page report on transforming global governance. In the WEF’s vision, ‘the government voice would be one among many, without always being the final arbiter.’

… Instead of corporations serving many stakeholders, in the multi-stakeholder model of global governance, corporations are promoted to being official stakeholders in global decision-making, while governments are relegated to being one of many stakeholders. In practice, corporations become the main stakeholders, while governments take a backseat role, and civil society is mainly window dressing.

… If you value your right to public health, to privacy, to access healthy food or to democratic representation, be wary of the words 'stakeholder capitalism’ when they pop up at the next Davos summit.”

I posted this series to the Tell a Story in Five Frames Group where someone suggested that the most interesting philosophical question here was whether or not this piece had the power to change minds.

I think its an interesting question and here is my response:

"I suppose reading Brecht might be a worthy detour to make during this process. Add that one to the list of texts-I-should-have-already-read-but-claim-to-have-never-had-the-time-for.

"Sometimes the problem resolves into the forms of Yin and Yang. Yin will eventually follow Yang but it may be realized in different forms. Will the situation become Yin in one of its positive forms, such as community, peace, understanding, or will it turn up in one of its negative aspects: darkness, alienation, and suffering. To be honest, this is the first time I've thought about it in those terms. Its the question of change that prompted my digression into this pop eastern philosophy.

"Though I wouldn't say I was consciously thinking about changing anybody's mind when the image came into existence, that question occupies a prominent place in my work. Though previously I called it a digression, I do believe there might be something to think about in the question of what kind of change one intends. Would a change from a peaceful Yin state to an agressive Yang state require different tools than its converse? To study the representations that make that transformation one need look no further than the TV News. People like Karl Rove and Joseph Goebbels make it their life's work to master the Yin to Yang changes, channeling that energy for political ends. I believe someone like Brecht it could be argued was attempting to prove the opposite in his work and move the situation toward the Yin-side.

There has been a lot of discussion over the past 100 years that I believe has all been aimed at this idea. Whether it be in the form of anti-fascist, anti-capitalist, anti-communist, anti-nazi, anti-republican, anti-democrat, anti-labor, anti-power, anti-technocracy. To me these are all the same. They are all possessed/possess the will to power.

"I suppose to measure the utilitarian efficacy with which this piece changes minds you could do a focus group and corollate some statistics. I wouldn't bet money on the results. Personally I'm still grappling with the question of whether or not all the mediums we have at our disposal are not somehow tainted at the lowest formal levels with some sort of ocular ideology that we barely understand."

Abstract - PhD (2013) - Quadralectics

Christopher W. Smithmyer

Nova Southeastern University, 2015 - 752 pages

Quadralectics is a study of the magnitude of conflict that occurs when a society shifts from one socio-economic phase to another. The purpose of this study is to quantify levels of conflict due to societal shifts in order to better prepare for the results of the conflict. This study uses a hybridization of qualitative meta-synthesis (QMS), recursive frame analysis (RFA), and Grounded Theory (GT) research methodologies to survey the historical record for instances of social change and then comparatively analyzes the resultant conflict. The heart of the Quadralectic study is the Quadralectic paradigm which integrates four dialectic models to create a four-dimensional space in which known forms of socio-economic phenomenon exist. The model is similar to a house with rooms, each room is a socioeconomic phenomenon, and the further rooms are from each other, the more conflict is created by the change. We call these movements transitions. Once in place, the Quadralectic model can be used to forecast conflict during periods of social upheaval and allow for the domestic and international community to be better prepared to respond to said conflict.

Smythmyer’s Quadralectics - A Reply – by Marten Kuilman - September 2018.

Every occurrence of the word ‘quadralectics’ arouses my interest since I coined the word in the early nineteen-eighties of the previous century. I had busied myself for a couple of years with an intellectual quest to understand the complexities of life. After several failed efforts, the penny dropped (on the 31st of March 1984): division and movement are the crucial components in every communication. And a four-division in a circular environment would be the most practical tool to understand the ever-expanding brine of information known as knowledge. A further theoretical examination resulted in the birth of a ‘quadralectic philosophy’ (KUILMAN, 2009/ 2011).

The kernel of the new approach consisted of two theoretical four-divisions shifting along each other. Measurable shift-values were produced at the intersection of the division lines (of the various quadrants). The sixteen values formed a sequence, which can be expressed in a graph. This graph represents the receding and approaching actions that take place between communication partners in any conceivable interchange based on a four-division.

It took another sixteen years – after the introduction of the internet in my life (Dec, 1999) – to start a worldwide search for ‘soul mates’. The initial harvest at the start of the new millennium was poor. The oldest referral to the term ‘quadralectics’ was traced back to 1996 when the term was used in an (anonymous) article about the enigmatic writer Thomas Pynchon and his novel “The Crying of Lot 49’ (1966). Two years later there was also a lead to Taoist sources as recorded by Roger T. Ames (1998, p. 169).

Kent PALMER (2000) mentioned the term for the first time in a scientific environment in several articles and later in his Ph.D. (Quadralectics of Design, 2009/2010). He was a system engineer, who put an emphasis on non-dual forms of thinking. It was clear - although I could not follow some of his terminologies - that he was concerned with the same widening of thinking as proposed in my quadralectic endeavors.

Over the years the use and occurrence of the word ‘quadralectics’ on the internet grew steadily – not only due to my own contributions. At present (2018) some 38.200 results are recorded (in 0,50 seconds). And Smythmyer’s Ph.D. on ‘Quadralectics’ was in 2013 a new star in the quadralectic firmament (SMYTHMYER, 2013).

A shining star, well written and a great piece of work. It was a pleasure to read such a clear display of socio-economic currents and individuals (with Marx as their leading actor) from the past to the present – capped off by the introduction of the ‘infant theory’ of quadralectics. Maybe the title of the Ph.D. is slightly misleading since the main subject of study is not the quadralectic method itself, but the application of a particular modus operandi (four-fold way of thinking) in the field of economy and sociology.

Smythmyer indicated (p. 51) that he moved on new ground when he coined the title ‘Quadralectics’: ‘Hegel and Marx thought in two dimensions, this model worked in four. As a tribute to their works, I selected the title Quadralectics, as a symbol of a system with four parts in a four-dimensional matrix. Now all that was left was to create a way to take this theorem and forge it into a theory.'

In the next part of this essay, I will try to incorporate Smythmyer’s understanding and utilization of the term ‘Quadralectics’ into my own interpretation of this particular form of four-fold thinking.

The reading started off on the wrong foot. Shivers went down my spine when, early in the book (Ch. I), the word ‘quadralectics’ was connected with conflict and proposed as a tool to measure and predict the magnitude of aggressive encounters. Furthermore, quadralectics is seen as an integration of four dialectic models. Both descriptions are way-out of the interpretation of ‘my’ quadralectics (KUILMAN, 1996/2011).

In fact, the roots of my epistemology can be found in the critical rejection of historical writing in terms of conflict. The rhetorical question: ‘is it possible to write history without the unsavory markers of conflict?’, was asked early in my life. And my subsequent intellectual development was geared towards finding an answer to that question. One of the achievements of a quadralectic worldview (as I see it) is its ‘neutral’ character – in contrast to lower forms of division thinking.

Therefore the ‘conflict’, which is present in every communication (or ongoing history) is incorporated in quadralectics – but it is not the leading agent. ‘Conflict’ has to make a cognitive move from its common dualistic understanding to a quadralectic environment. The nature of conflict is rooted in a misunderstanding of division thinking between the communication partners. Its cause has to be redefined in terms of incomprehension rather than the measure of the implementation of force.

After the initial shock of Smythmyer’s introduction, it soon became clear that our mutual suppositions (as expressed in the name ‘quadralectics’) had – as far as the basic mechanism goes – a lot in common. He describes ‘conflict’ as a ‘transition within a paradigm of interconnected socioeconomic elements’ (p. 14). This definition leads directly to the importance of ‘shift’. Displacement, as a result of movement, played a crucial role in the conception of ‘my’ quadralectics in the 1980s. The transition/shift can be measured, either within the paradigms and/or the division environment (the Technological Coefficient versus the Communication Coefficient).

I wholeheartedly underwrite Smythmyer’s stimulating objective (p. 20): ‘By increasing the objective capabilities of defining socio-economic paradigms and status shifts within those paradigms, quadralectics will be more useful for the analysis of current socio-economic shifts, thus allowing for better preparation in the case of any conflict that may or may not happen’.

The literature review (Ch. II) is the Master Template in which the great names in socio-economic history provide the substratum of research. Smythmyer’s idea, I presume, is to find ‘the beginning’ in communication with thinkers like Hegel, Marx, Friedman, Luckacs, Veblen (my favorite) and many others (including Adolf Hitler and Ross Perot). Most of these thinkers operate in the realm of lower division thinking (dialectic) and are therefore unable to see the potential of the area ‘in-between’. Many of their theories and observations are the result of creative thinking, but only within the limits and the confinement of an oppositional straightjacket.

Smythmyer’s intention to ‘broaden the lens’ away from a dialectic research and a bifurcated universe is exactly the viewpoint I took in the early stages of my research of the four-fold. However, to see ‘Quadralectics’ (only) as the relationship between conflict and social change (p. 51) is, in my opinion, to narrow a view. The ‘four parts in a four-dimensional matrix’, as envisaged by Smythmyer, are bound to become the essential tools of modern, post-dialectic thinking. The choice of this epistemology is appropriately chosen. But the application of a general and a specific form of quadralectics – as a philosophical framework - should be noted.

The use of ‘quadralectics’ (or even ‘quadralectic theory’, p. 124) in the socio-economic context is just one of the many fields of knowledge were the specific way of four-fold thinking (quadralectics proper) can be applied. The very moment the X-as (first dimension) is divided in Anarchy, Feudalism, Capitalism, Socialism and Communism and the Y-axis (second dimension) in Plutocracy, Hegemony, Capitalism, Populism and Communalism a (subjective) valuation frame is introduced (based on either control of means of production or the control structure of wealth).

There is nothing wrong with these choices, as long as it is realized that the divisions follow a linear trend from maximum to minimum. Capitalism is on both X- and Y-axis nicely tucked in the middle - implicit pointing to the Golden Mean, the zenith of beauty, consisting of symmetry, proportion and harmony. When ‘hegemony’ is ‘near the middle of the paradigm’ (p. 194/195) it implies close to be ‘good’ and versatile. This viewpoint might be true, but only within a dialectic inspired discours.

This bickering should not disguise the fact that Smythmyer gave a brilliant and clear exposé of the various human organisations and their power structures. But I have the feeling – mainly because of the linear character of the subdivisions – that the ‘neutral’ side of (theoretical) quadralectics is ignored.

Quadralectics - as a specific form of four-fold thinking - requires a different perception. It poses a cyclic nature versus the linear disposition (of the dialectic). The different mindset implies that dialectic notions, like the beginning, middle and end and such notions as ‘a Golden Mean’, need a new understanding: there is no beginning, middle and end on a divided circular line. We can only speak of a ‘First’ and ‘Last’ visibility – and have to understand what that visibility means. Also the ‘Golden Mean’ as a comparison of two lengths of lines becomes redundant in a circular setting. Dialectics uses the two-division as its guideline (and tool of analogy), while a quadralectic communication applies the (arithmetical) result of a shift between two four-divisions as its base for valuation. The difference is immense, but if one is unable to see outside the dualistic framework, it is neglectable. A comparison with Newton’s approach to physics and Einstein’s improvement (by introducing the speed of light) is relevant.

The statement (p. 169) ‘Marxism is the key tool in the Quadralectic paradigm’ looks, with good will, like a facsimile of the dialectic encounter of the two four-divisions in an embryonal quadralectic environment. It cannot be denied that the quadralectic model pays tribute and incorporates the two-division in its genetic history. Division and movement (shift) are the basic elements of its being, but not necessarily in an evolutionary way. Dialectic evolution is completely different from quadralectic evolution. The first is a line, the second is a graph. However the phrase ‘to create an interrelated structure to explain and predict social changes within the socioeconomic paradigm’ is also feasible in the operational phase of a quadralectic epistemology.

A further visualization of two types of control (of the masses) is given in Chapter XIII. The five-fold control of means of production (X-axis) meets the five-fold control of the structure of wealth (Y-axis). They form the first and second dimension, A reinterpretation of Aristotle’s Forms, in Part IV, makes up the third dimension. The Forms represent ‘a pattern of known socioeconomic phenomenon’ (p. 218). In particular the action of ’filling up the gaps (,,,) to fit into the quadralectic paradigm’ is a sound piece of original work, despite the fact that the methodology can be criticized from a (theoretical) quadralectic point of view. The full picture (on the Z-axis) consists of a nine-fold division (from simple to complex): tyranny, monarchy, meritocracy, technocracy, aristocracy, egalitarianism, mob rule, democracy and polity.

The above-mentioned lattice (or three-dimensional arrangement) moves through time to bring in the fourth dimension. Or, like Smythmyer put it (p. 220): 'we will see how they require only a temporal element to become a complete four-dimensional model.’ In Part V (not in the list of contents, but given as Part VI) the long-awaited moment was about to happen: the calculation of the conflict coefficient. The introduction of the Ph.D. (p. 20) promised a magic wand, which could predict the magnitude of a conflict within the socio-economic paradigm. If only that could be achieved then the world would be a better place…

The introduction of Morgan’s three stages (savagery - barbarianism - civilization) comes as a deception. (MORGAN, 1877). The descriptions in terms of a condition humaine is prehistoric and simplistic. On the other hand, the ten-fold scale of conflicts (with a linear increase in violence) can be helpful. The actual calculation from the shift in a socio-economic phenomenon towards a real conflict number (using -1, 0 and +1) is, in my opinion, insufficiently described. The map in the appendix (as promised ‘for those of you who are visually oriented’, p. 303) is not given. Maybe it helps to clarify the number of spaces (shift) ‘a society moves through the paradigm to figure out its conflict number’.

Despite these shortcomings (for me), I understand the principles behind the generation of the ‘conflict number’. There are reminiscences to a quadralectic approach (of shifting four-divisions), but I would not call the procedure of the creation of a conflict number ‘quadralectics’. Values are still generated in a linear environment (and often based on a subjective understanding of ‘high’ and ‘low’ and entities like minimum and maximum and the rigid digital world of plus (+) and minus (-). Three (linear) axes moving in time do not make a quadralectic cosmos. The quadralectic (scientific) reality consists, in my view, of an observer who used the universal communication graph (CF-graph) in the changeability of the partners in a the communication.

The universal character implies that any juxtaposition between whatever sort of topic can be put to the quadralectic test. So, a comparison between certain socio-economic manifestations and the occurrence and intensity of a conflict and subsequent violence is a viable research option. All we have to know are the boundaries of visibility in place and time of the communication units. A form of ‘intensity’ can be measured as soon as these boundaries are established. The place on the CF-graph provides (by analogy) a fairly confident picture (within the given communication) what is going to happen. So it is not the actual figure (CF-value) which determined its worth, but the place on the graph. Place is in the end more important than time. Although in the understanding of quadralectics the place (on the graph) is also the time…

A glance on the Theorems of Quadralectics (Appendix I) gives a certain preoccupation for (Neo)Darwinistic ideas. One cannot fail to notice statements about survival (2, 6), choice of desirable traits (3, 8), genetic material (5), natural selection (9) and sexual selection (11, 12). I have no clue as to what these theorems contribute to the subject at hand. Is it an effort to understand the nature of conflict? Is it a revival of the survival of the fittest? It is hard to say, but whatever explanation: it has little to do with quadralectics.

A closer look at the bibliography is relevant. The writings of the classical, communistic leaders are out in force (Lenin, 13 entries), Mao (29), Marx (15) and Stalin (14). Fortunately Stephen Gould, a much more amicable researcher, got 7 entries. Thornstein Veblen ’Theory of the Leisure Class’ (1899), Michael Young’s ‘The Rise of the Meritocracy‘ (1951) and James Burnham’s ‘The Managerial Revolution’ (1941) are sadly missed. Maybe their writings did not fit into the ‘conflict’ model.

All in all, Smythmyer’s Ph.D. is a refreshing study, which gives a deeper insight into the way human beings live together. The outset to combine expressions of conflict with a particular socio-economic phenomenon is challenging. The intention to use a wider scope is prize-worthy, but the name ‘quadralectic’ is not fully appropriate.

Additional remarks

Table of Contents does not mention the Chapters.

The latter are introduced on p. 18ff.

Chapters and parts become a confusing mix (for me).

My reconstruction of the table of contents is as follows:

Part I - ?

Introduction

Ch I - no heading, just description under ‘Chapters’

Ch II - Literature review

Ch. III - Methodology

Part II - Theory – is not mentioned in the text (p. 65) but called ‘in Chapters’

Introduction of Theory

At p. 67ff a division in parts (I – IV) is given

Part I – Marx

Part II – Plutocracy etc.

Part III – Aristotle

Part IV – Technological Coefficient

But where do these parts fit into the table of contents?

Ch. IV - Of the Applied Methodology

Ch. V - Theoretical Overview

Part III - Of the Marxist Dialectic - is not mentioned in the Contents as Part III.

Ch. VI - General Principles

Ch. VII - Of Anarchy

Ch. X - Of Socialism

Ch. XI - Of Communism

Ch. XII - Conclusion Dialectics = Conclusion of the dialectic

Part III Quadralectic Vertices = Part IV in the text (p. 170)

A figure to show the outlay and division of the X and Y-axes would have been helpful. ‘Quadralectic vertices’ point to four (4) vertices (tetrahedron), but the text continues with a five division (Plutocracy, Hegemony, Capitalism, Populism and Communalism)

This is the most difficult speaking event, by far, that I take on, and somehow I keep coming back.

Just spank me with that red paddle!

Five panelists are asked to come up with two tech trends that we think are worthy of the top 10 title, and that are, as they instruct:

1) Not obvious today

2) You believe there will be explosive growth in about five years’ time

When you do this for many years, it gets harder and harder. For several years now, I have done this, and have to come up with new ones each year. If it's too obvious, it's boring. If it's too radical, it might not be relevant over the next five years. And it had to be important and new... worthy of a top 10 tech trend.

So, here are the 10 trends...

What do you think? Which do you agree most with? Disagree most with? Think are too obvious?

Trend 1. Radical Globalization of Social Commerce (Kevin Efrusy)

In prior cycles, international segments consisted of 30-40 percent of revenue, begun 3-5 years after the US effort. Going forward, "ROW" can dominate domestic, and players who wait to address it are vulnerable to competitors who go global first.

Trend 2. Zero Marginal Cost Education (Bing Gordon)

In the 1970s, ATMs were considered “dehumanizing” and bank tellers were the gold standard. But tellers got worse, while ATMs improved. Public education seems to be repeating this pattern, and the oligopolists of “big education” don’t seem to have read Innovator’s Dilemma.

Trend 3. Massive Sensors and Data (Reid Hoffman)

Sensors cost trends to zero; there are sensors everywhere and part of everything. In combination, we'll create multiple data collections that power applications and innovations to improve our lives. Genetics, disease, and symptom data for automate tri-corders, precision diagnosis, and personalized medicine. Collaborative filtering of all kinds of discovery– from music to information to professional training.

Trend 4. All Vehicles Go Electric (Steve Jurvetson)

Eventually all motor vehicles will transition to an electric drive train, affording greater efficiency, convenience, and a multitude of new design options. Within five years, this inevitability will become clear. ([it got heated at times; here is a short video clip of Peter Thiel's reaction.)

Trend 5. A Shift Toward Technocracy: Doing More with Less (Peter Thiel)

Democrats want government to do more with more. Republicans say government should do less with less. Technology might allow it to do more with less.

Trend 6. It's Just the Venture Cycle (Kevin Efrusy)

The fortunes of Silicon Valley rarely mirror the rest of the world because the ebb and flow of creative disruption follows a different pattern and 14-16 year cycle than the macro economy. We appear to be right on schedule...

Trend 7. Gamification of Everything (Bing Gordon)

As Lance Armstrong wrote, “Every second counts.” As digital natives increasingly multi-task, and as the social web creates geometric growth in posts, the battle is for engagement. For the growing population of game-players, reportedly 70% of Americans, games are important systems for creating meaning, and can increase behavior by 25 to 100%.

Trend 8. The New Hardware: Bits to Atoms (Reid Hoffman)

Open Source patterns now applied to hardware. Collective design bases with rapid modifications. Flexible manufacturing producing limited run and unique devices. 3D printing means revolution in custom and unique goods. Ultimately, revolutions in biological and medical products and solutions.

Trend 9. Moore's Law Accelerates Beyond Silicon (Steve Jurvetson)

When we consider Moore’s Law in the abstract, the dropping cost of computation is not tapering off. Rather it will accelerate further still as we look beyond the silicon era.

Trend 10. The Beginnings of Bioinformatics; Intelligent Design Over Random Drug Discovery (Peter Thiel)

More powerful computers will turn biology into an information science.

The difference between algorithms and newspapers is that newspapers are legally responsible for what they print and citizens generally understand their editorial positions.

Algorithms, however, give the impression of being neutral and can't be held to account - even though the YouTube algorithm alone shapes what 1.5 billion users are likely to see, which is more than every newspaper in the world combined. --Jamie Bartlett

Brazil leading the way -

Closing X/Twitter in Brazil

A Supreme Court judge has ordered that access to X/Twitter be immediately blocked throughout Brazil.

Reuters reports.

With that, what many had feared happened: No one in Brazil will have access to X (formerly Twitter) from Friday evening, Norwegian time. Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes (b. 1968) has ordered this.

The shutdown comes as a result of X refusing to comply with a judge's demand earlier this year that the company shut down accounts that were involved in spreading fake news.

Elon Musk (b. 1971) responded by closing the company's offices in Brazil.

Brazilian President Lula da Silva (b. 1945) has also participated in the debate.

"Just because a guy has a lot of money doesn't mean he's outside the law," da Silva said earlier today.

Musk, for his part, has called Brazil's president the obedient dog of the Supreme Court.

The US Embassy in Brazil said in a statement that the US is closely monitoring the situation in the South American country, adding that "freedom of expression is one of the cornerstones of a healthy democracy".

It’s time to call out the greatest lie in British politics: the claim that the Left is more moral than the Right. This sanctimonious humbug goes to the heart of how the Labour Government sees itself, and drives its insufferable messiah complex. Self-styled “progressives” consider themselves to be better people: they “care”, they are compassionate, they are “kind”, they believe in social justice, trade union powers, anti-racism, altruism, “equity” and saving the planet – unlike the selfish, demagogic, reactionary, hateful, imperialistic, capitalist, corrupt barbarians on the Right.

This ludicrous caricature is the product of a toxic psychological conceit. The truth is that Labour in 2024 is the new nasty party, obsessed with divide and rule. Far from occupying the moral high ground, it fights dirty. It specialises in pitting one group against another, in buying votes and paying off potential supporters, and is supremely skilled at dressing up political self-interest as virtue, hypocrisy as philosophy, and revenge as careful policy. It should engage in less virtue-signalling and more soul-searching. Its angry self-righteousness, constant slandering of the Tories as having “crashed the economy”, shamelessness in making up “noble lies” about fiscal “black holes”, the assumption that anybody who questions or disagrees must be evil, is backfiring, as Sir Keir Starmer’s plummeting popularity indicates.

Labour’s peculiar tone, its mix of the hectoring and the triumphalist, derives in part from the fact it has abandoned its more benign traditions. It is no longer committed to its original mission of ameliorating the living conditions and opportunities of working people in Britain. Yes, it still wants to regulate companies more – which will reduce job-creation and productivity – but that is primarily displacement activity. It has become more interested in post-material concerns, in telling everybody how to live, in re-engineering society along environmental, woke and egalitarian lines.

In the 1940s, it wanted the NHS to serve the people; today it sees the people as serving “our” NHS, hence proposed restrictions on smoking outdoors (a misguided policy on its own terms, as smokers generally die earlier). Labour once wanted the working class to own cars and travel on holiday abroad like the rich; Barbara Castle, the 1970s Left-wing firebrand, argued that “the private car has brought the boon of mobility to millions of people … that boon should be available to everyone”. Now Labour, by forcing a ban on new pure-petrol cars in just five and a half years, will price poorer drivers off the roads, at least until the cost of electric cars drops. How can it be right to prevent people from seeing friends or family?

Ed Miliband is driving up energy prices, rushing through decarbonisation before technologies are ready, hurting the poor and middle classes for the sake of reductions in emissions that will barely make a dent to the global picture. At the same time, Labour now prefers technocracy to democracy, handing powers to quangos, such as the Office for Budget Responsibility, or lawyers, and is uncomfortable with traditional, old Labour varieties of patriotism. It venerates so-called international law, remains secretly devastated by Brexit and is heavily influenced by woke ideology. Its refusal even to pretend to tackle illegal immigration won’t do genuine refugees any favours. It is cowardice camouflaged as liberalism.

When Robin Cook was foreign secretary, Labour boasted of its ethical foreign policy (until it was discredited by Iraq); today, it appears driven by an unprincipled fear of losing votes to Jeremy Corbyn’s alliance. Labour’s treatment of Israel is revolting.

One day after six Israeli hostages were butchered by Hamas savages, David Lammy signalled that the terrorists’ tactics are working when he suspended 30 arms export licences to Israel. We continue to sell far more weapons to Qatar, protectors of Hamas; we continue to tolerate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Britain. Lammy’s disgraceful decision came on the 85th anniversary of the Tiger Hill scandal, an earlier British capitulation to terrorism, when the Royal Navy opened fire on Jewish refugees seeking to disembark off Tel Aviv.

Labour’s other betrayals may not be as extreme, but they emphasise its nastiness. Angela Rayner is considering stopping people buying their council houses, despite having benefited from the policy herself. Pulling up the ladder is a Leftist trait; there is nothing moral about dashing working people’s dream of home ownership. The right to buy didn’t create the housing crisis. Britain still has a huge supply of social homes – only three European countries have a larger share of “sub-market” rental housing than we do, as noted by the Centre for Policy Studies. Our problem is that we have a much smaller overall housing stock per capita, exacerbated by very high levels of immigration.

This Government seems to revel in preventing others from obtaining the advantages they themselves enjoyed. Keir Starmer received a bursary to fund his sixth-form studies at Reigate Grammar School when it became a fee-paying institution after he joined (itself the result of an earlier battle in Labour’s never-ending war against private education). Yet now he is punishing private-school parents, most of whom scrimp and save to pay fees out of post-tax income, with his despicable imposition of VAT and removal of business rates relief.

His party is reducing opportunities for state school children, too. Ofsted single-word school judgments have been scrapped: this makes life easier for headteachers, and harder for parents. Labour doesn’t care about strivers, those seeking to better the lives of their families. It puts Left-wing ideology and the interest of the public sector first.

I support the removal of pensioners’ winter fuel payments, a universal benefit that cannot be justified at a time of population ageing. But even then Labour’s motivations are vicious: the savings are being transferred to overpaid train drivers. Labour’s approach to pensioners is inspired by zero-sum generational warfare, tinged with Brexit revanchism, not principled anti-welfarism. The assumption is that young people want to hurt the old, even if they don’t themselves gain directly; there is no constructive attempt at building a more viable retirement system.

Any move to impose a wealth tax would confirm Labour is primarily concerned with hurting those it doesn’t like, not helping those that need a hand-up. The politics of envy has never worked in Britain in the past, and it won’t succeed this time.

Near the centre is a large sign for the Technocracy movement.

(I always that it was a church but apparently it is just a social movement).

An old stage next to its remodeling. Yesterday, the Zaragoza returned to remember its better afternoons, 4-2 in front of a Barcelona that took 19 parties without losing.

The history of football is a sad trip from pleasure to duty. As the sport has become industry, it has been exiling the beauty that is born of the joy to play. In this world of the century aim, professional football sentence which is useless, and is useless what he is not profitable. To anybody it gives to gain that madness that causes that the man is young by awhile, playing as the boy with the globe plays and as the cat with the wool ball of yarn plays: dancer who dances with a slight ball like the globe that go away to the air and the ball of yarn that rolls, playing without knowledge that plays, without reason and clock and judge. The game has become spectacle, with few protagonists and many spectators, football to watch, and the spectacle has become one of the most lucrative businesses of! world, that is not organized to play but to prevent that it gambles. The technocracy del deports professional has been imposing a soccer of pure speed and much force, that resigns to the joy, atrophies the fantasy and prohibits osadía. Luckily still it appears in the fields, although it is very once in a while, some shameless dirtyface that leave the libreto and commit the silly thing of dribling to all the rival equipment, and aJ judge, and to the public of the tribunes, by the pure enjoyment of the body that is sent to the prohibited adventure of the freedom.

Modern algal biotechnology is largely motivated by technocracy in response to food and energy crises. This biotechnological work seeks the utilization of microalgae not for technocratic ends but for a reconstruction of social practice at an ‘ecosophical’ intersection, as advocated by Félix Guattari (1989/2000) by weaving the three domains of the natural environment (photosynthesis of microalgae), social relations (digital printing), and mind (creative process of making).
