My notebook looks more than techy in my surroundings. I love the juxtaposition of the old and the new. It delights me each time I sit down to play!

Some anti-tech graffiti on a wall in San Francisco, California. Techies, or tech workers, have generated animosity in this city as they are blamed for the rampant gentrification and soaring housing costs.

This is based of something MK posted on FB.... Folks on SL arguing over posing on prims vs. using AI for their photography. End of the day Art is Art; unless you're in a darkroom developing 35mm film you shot on stfu and mind your business.......

During NTEN's 2008 Non-profit Technology Conference a group of techies participated in several volunteer projects to bring technology to communities battered by the 2005 Katrina hurricane.

My group, comprised of consultants, non-profit workers, and Cisco Systems, traveled to a community center in St. Bernard Parrish to install wireless access points. St. Bernard Parrish was the hardest hit during the flood - only 6 houses were left standing out of 25,000 when the water rose 25 feet in 23 minutes.

It was an honor to be able to provide some help to this community and I'm grateful for the opportunity to talk with residents and keep the hope and momentum of positive work flowing.

Of interest to the photo-techies, this is a huge crop from the 8688p of the uncropped Raw file, but it's still 3310x2207p after the crop. Starting with 50mp has its advantages.

This former Wrexham and Shropshire loco-hauled set is still in the original condition with loco and livery pleasingly facing the right way and the legend still in place. It's late afternoon as 67012 "Thomas Telford" passes summer meadows near Little Bourton.
