A couple months ago, my father and I recorded a jazz group for a CD of Christmas tunes. On Sunday night, Nucleus (the band we recorded and mixed) had a CD release party at the Spindrift Theater in Pacifica.
Dad and I provided the sound support for their gig, the pictures of which will be posted later on at some point when I actually have time to sit down and take care of uploading them.
Afterwards, we tore down and you can see my father behind me coiling up his audio snake as I feed him more cable, and take a self portrait.

I am a self-proclaimed techie. Techies fix things. Techies sometimes break things. And, most importantly, when something is out of a techie's scope of knowledge. Techies tend to know people who fix such things.
And, these people sometimes break things.
Meet Tyler.
He is married to my good friend Bre.
He lives down the street.
And, most importantly, he's an electronics techie.
Tyler fixes expensive radars.
Tyler tinkers with cars.
Tyler repairs blown Xbox power supplies.
Tyler is a good friend to have.
A few months ago, our popcorn maker unexpectedly passed away of what we assume to be natural causes. Tyler was called in to see if he could restore the brain dead critter.
Once it was realized that the screws into the popcorn maker were something none of us had EVER seen before, the operation turned into something of an autopsy.
Techies tend to fix things. And, something, techies break them. I look forward to seeing the working reincarnation of the popcorn maker...with duct tape. :)
