A small selection of reading glasses, greeting cards, and recycling boxes: up near the front entrance of the Poplar Ave. Office Depot. They sure crammed a lot of variety into this rather small store!

I set up a little blanket for Brady to chew his antlers on because we're tired of stepping on wet carpet from all the drool. Usually he chews his antler right off the edge of the blanket and I have to try to move him back a few inches.. We call this his "Tech Center," named after my desk that's right across from this. We keep stuffies and bones at his Tech Center and Brady likes to work on projects.

a look at my photo editing tech creating an aviation image of the Emirates Boeing 777 from my previous post landing at glasgow
this is a look through the viewfinder of an early 1960's Kodak Brownie Reflex 20 camera that was pointing at my macbook which has the image open in camera raw
my workflow for creating the image above was camera raw various slider adjustments, photoshop crop, nik colour efex plug in for contrast adjustment, nik analogue efex slider adjustments including (unusually for me) dust and scratch adjustment and finally back to photoshop for colour space, resizing and sharpening

One of the most beautiful and useful buildings of civil engineering, carried out by the Eiffage Company founded by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel. The Millau Viaduc is the tallest and longest bridge in the world.

This image touches on several themes- how the future (and technology) often seems daunting and we are miniscule...or it could touch upon technological determinism - who is driving? who is serving whom?
Sunrise on the first morning of our wee getaway this week.
I'd scoped out the beach on Google earth and OS Maps, deciding that the rocky bit would be pretty good as a foreground as it looked like there was a lot to it on Google Earth.
I usually like shooting with an incoming tide, but this was about as low as it would go, which combined with it being sunrise, left a nice clean looking beach with no footprints etc all over it.
I used my polariser on half strength, the rock pool was too bright without it, and looked odd with it full on.

During my time down in Guangzhou I must have visited Dashatou Photography Street fifteen times. Of course I got sick of the place, but it's one of the best markets in China for picking up interesting second hand equipment, not as large as Beijing's Wukesong Market, but perhaps a better range because of stuff coming in from nearby Hong Kong. I bought a Kiev-60 with a Zeiss Jena lens on it for 980 Yuan. Worth it for the lens alone...
