A bird's eye view of Tech City - years ago was only Circuit City but the wires have completely disappeared.
Hoof and Horace were recently having one of their regular chats over Zoom with some of the TV production team who cover the rocket launches at Cape Canaveral, you know technical stuff like how much beer is required in order to keep an astronaut awake during a trip to the International Space Station.💨💨🚀
Once the technical aspects of space flights were covered H & H and the TV crew poured themselves a few drinks and started reminiscing about programs they use to watch as youngsters, one of Horace’s favourites was Animal Magic, while Hoof enjoyed Black Beauty.
In turn members of the TV production crew talked about some of the programs they enjoyed as children such as Bill & Ben and Watch With Mother.📺🐴👦👦👵
One of the sparky’s told H & H that producers at the BBC tried to sell some of the old episodes of the Flintstones to viewers in The United Arab Emirates, however they did not like it, but the people of Abu Dhabi do.

i just discovered the cyberdock where the new tech-rex is built. this is the view from it's cockpit, looking over the back which is hundreds feet long and heavily protected. well just kidding it's a trainstation waiting hall photographed from it's restaurant area. eat good, sleep good, have a nice fantasy :P

I had been planning on going to Arrochar this morning, but went a day early. Probably just as well, as the shot I wound up with couldn't have been any better if I planned it.
It did involve a bit of a scramble over wet, mossy rocks with footholds smaller than the balls of my feet, but the final result is well worth it.
I shot this waterfall before, several years ago and I've only been back once or twice with nothing really to show for it. Probably my best kept secret location! It's not really that secret right enough, but if too many people find out exactly where it is I guess it'll get kinda ruined.
The foreground is a bunch of dead leaves caught in an eddy. The filter combination I used slowed it down to a 3 minute exposure which made the awesome swirl,

A alternate frame from a Aug 13, 2013 photo shoot. I walked 3/4 of a mile from a Forest Preserve parking area, and along the Fox Valley Trolley tracks, and then the Fox River trail to reach this point. I believe the stone piers to be original to the 1882/3 construction of the Freeport Sub, but the steel trusses are from the 1920's and 1930's per a 1945 track plan
The CN Track Evaluation Train heading to Freeport. This came out of Chicago, and did a crew swap at Munger, and finallyyyy made its way West. The crew was from Freeport and on the scanner sounded antsy about getting back to Freeport before their shift time expired.
BIG Thanks to Bill Meir who gave me the alert of this train and the meet at Munger. I missed the M338 train by 10 minutes walking to this location. Sucked hearing it, but in no position whatsoever to photograph it.
