Another paper cutout was the genesis of this tea towel design, now available in my 2010 collection.

This teacup on top of this cake, was modeled after a teacup from a set my husband's grandmother received as a wedding present alllllong time a go.

The original set is cream with a green stripe around it (my hand was not that steady to paint perfectly straight).

I received a lovely letter to say thank you for this cake that was part of a huge 60th surprise party!

My Aunt had these set up around a table, all ready for me to take a pic! lol Very lovely :)

A moment from Fifty Shades of Grey popped into my head that I felt was perfect for the upcoming new year. There was a time crunch with all the activities during the holidays, but I managed to finish a Skilloâ„¢ just in time! ;) You can find out just what a Skilloâ„¢ really is and see more at www.rufflesandrestraints.com

Yellow Tea Cup

I still have a few special teacups that hold sentimental value for me. Collecting and exchanging teacups for special occasions such as weddings was a popular tradition. Of all my teacups, I bought one for myself, while the others were thoughtful gifts from special people.

I love how this Hipstamatic photo looks almost impressionist with its blur, and how the colors are so strong.

This photo is not safe for a global audience. It glorifies the consumption of heated caffeinated beverages. By use of soft focus combined with sensuously sleek curves it risks causing desirous impulses for the viewer.

In reality, caffeine is a highly addictive substance that can lead to a life long dependency.

Its dangerous for being a hot liquid. One that is readily available for a small price in many parts of the world. In some places, it is even available twenty-four hours a day, every day of the week. Yet a single cup, mishandled by carelessness or malicious intent, can cause painful burns to one or several people at a time. If the terrorists ever figure that out, God help us all.

(this, at last, concludes the 'safe a global audience' series)

Notes to +/- pro:

Please ignore its context within the safe global audience rant of mine.

Pretty teacups make drinking tea great fun.

My mom collected souvenir plates when we traveled. When I was very young, I decided I would collect miniature souvenir cups and saucers. I have given most away to my young great-nieces but kept a couple for the especially good memories.

Another surprising find in a Northern Maine anitque shop yesterday. I couldn't make it to Brimfield so I had to settle for Northern Maine. This is the first teacup I have found. The image looks like it may have been made from a daguerreotype.
