If you were tasked with designing a functional chair completely out of cardboard and without the use of adhesives, tape, etc., what would it look like? That's the question Mr. Johnson posed to his IB Design Technology classes in February 2025. After going through the planning, building, and testing phases, his students definitively answered the question with some very sturdy and unique furniture!

I used slightly darker pink for the 3 toward the back row. I tried to fan out the leaves more like the iris in my yard. My only regret is not thinking ahead to use the slightly darker green for the ones in the back. I left my ProMarkers in the city and if I get up the nerve I might try to tint the back row. No promises though!

ARTA, Djibouti (August 15, 2012) - Task Force Raptor Soldiers participate in the third Spur Ride held in the Horn of Africa. The spur ride is a cavalry tradition in which a trooper must pass a series of tests that evaluate physical, leadership, technical and tactical proficiency in a high stress environment in order to earn his spurs and become a member of the Order of the Spur. Task Force Raptor is deployed in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa. (U.S. Army photo by Cpl. Candy Hatch).
