Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to Task Force Red Dragon return to Virginia and reunite with loved ones and fellow Soldiers Sept. 30, 2022, in Sandston, Virginia, after serving on federal active duty since November 2021. More than 1,000 Virginia and Kentucky National Guard troops under the command of the Lynchburg-based 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team conducted security operations throughout the Horn of Africa and provided the East Africa Response Force in support of the U.S. government for crisis response throughout East Africa. A transfer of authority ceremony with the New York Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 69th Infantry Regiment was conducted Sept. 19. More Soldiers will return to Virginia in the coming weeks after completing administrative tasks transitioning them back to a traditional National Guard status, but an exact date for their return has not been finalized. Members of the Virginia Defense Force volunteered their time to assist with traffic management and parking. There are some major appliances that are the most essential items in a house. These help in a number of activities such as cooking and keeping foods from spoiling, helping in our laundry task etc. these large appliances are dispensable that we could not think of a life without them. These are convenient and time saving appliances available at a number of styles with many built-in features. These appliances are freezers, dishwashers, dryers, microwaves, cooktops, refrigerators, washers etc.
These are not the complete list and we make use of a number of small appliances as well to get our everyday life simple as they help in simple yet important tasks such as meal preparation, house cleaning etc. there are also a number of special appliances or seasonal appliances that are needed for a small duration of time to perform particular tasks. Some examples of these appliances are blenders, sandwich makers, buffet servers, rice cookers, coffee and tea makers etc.
Air and water quality appliances are those that help in enhancing the quality of air we breathe making our homes healthiest and helps us live comfortable. These appliances help in enhancing the quality of water we drink and are the must haves for all homes. These are air purifiers, fans, air coolers and conditioners, heaters etc.

ARTA, Djibouti (August 3, 2012) - Task Force Raptor Soldiers earned their Silver Spurs at the third Spur Ride held in the Horn of Africa. The spur ride is a cavalry tradition in which a trooper must pass a series of tests that evaluate physical, leadership, technical and tactical proficiency in a high stress environment in order to earn his spurs and become a member of the Order of the Spur.
