While not an original idea in the slightest, I knew I had to build one when I saw this image of a Thomas the Tank Engine skin on a Sherman Tank from the game War Thunder.

It was a fun challenge to build and accurate Sherman tank in a landscape of many, many excellent Lego builds of this iconic tank.

The front drive sprocket gear was the part that made me build in dark Azure and was also a fun challenge to build in a colour I haven't used before.

This has sparked a collab within the LUG I am a part of, and hopefully we can add a few of Thomas' friend in the future with a bit of air support from Harold.

Enjoy!

Webster's defines "Pioneer Spirit" as...a willingness to endure hardship in order to explore new places or try out new things. I'm grateful to all those who went before to settle the country of my home, but I do admit, the mindset to choose a place of such barrenness to "make a go of it", is astounding. This home for example hasn't a single a neighbor within site. There is not a tree or bush to be had, and knowing the weather extremes of the eastern plains, the ability to plan ahead would certainly be one of your top priorities.

76mm GMC M18 - Many students of armor consider the "Hellcat" to be one of the finest AFV's developed during WWII. With an exceptional power-to-weight ratio it was extremely fast and manuverable. It was the 1st USA armor to use the torsion bar suspension with road wheels. Production started in 1943 and 2500 were built.

I come back to you with a T-90A Tank.

It was really enyoing to built this beauty because I personally think the T-90 tank has such a great shape.

It is also used by so many countries all over the world like India, Irak, Syria, Russia, Vietnam and now also by Ukraine.

A handful of tanks make up the entirety of CPKC G13's small southbound train to Searsport on February 20, 2024. The crew will soon lift a couple empties from GAC, but for now the relatively clean ECO duo of 2209 & 2261 is seen here passing Sandy Point in Stockton Springs. This was an absolutely solid day with some great guys!

Fermentation tanks

I was pleased to see four rail car tanks in the mixt freight consist on the GCR at the weekend. I have come across many similar tanks having a second life for static storage in local oil distribution depots during my working life.

The first three of these were built by Charles Roberts at Horbury Junction. The largest of these is of a type I have seen running on the main line in recent years.

A splendid sight, congratulations to the restorers

Being under lockdown has been kinda boring, so I made a tank while I was at it. I've got a lil' town also built, if I ever finish it, I'll post pics of that as well

If you have any comments or suggestions on the tank, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to try my hand at some more military stuff, so any improvements are very much welcome.

Just a cool little build that I made! Expect some more tanks, I have finally gotten track links. Hope you guys like it, and tell me what you think. Thanks for viewing and tell me what vehicle I should build next.
