It surely seems to be in a very difficult - even hopeless - situation, this tree in the woods round Beisbroek, Flanders. I suppose it must have been the victim of a storm.

We passed it on our walk from Beisbroek, a castle that is now a museum and observatory, to Tudor Castle (see my previous photos). The walk is signposted as 'The Heath Walk'.

The young tree next to it is giving hope for the future.

Shortie was in a bit of a challenging spot trying to get focus with grass in front of it and far away for my 400mm lens but the closest one we seen today. lol!

Ivy makes a swirling design covering the geometric shapes of a small window on a bright red building at historic Lusscroft Farm, New Jersey, which was built in the early 20th century as an experimental model of a modern scientific and efficient farm. It was later donated to the state and is now a part of High Point park.

I realize this photo is a little bit messy, but I found it was rewarding for me to dig in for all these little details. I couldn't seem to find a stance for this one that didn't involve my knees being poked by sharp rocks. My tripod bag got me through it. Best viewed large.
