This is not the kind of shot I want. I'm tired, it's late, have spent most of the day wading through someone else's code trying to unravel the awful heap of excrement that is parading around as a website.
If I were the Lego man I would sack the people who gave me the string, set fire to the string and then fire the ashes into space using my giant Lego space catapult.
Time for bed.
The tangled roots run deep and wide,
Beneath the earth, they do reside.
A network of life, both strong and true,
Connecting the old, to the new.
Through the soil, they seek out light,
Growing stronger, with all their might.
Drawing nutrients, from deep below,
And giving life, to all they know.
But sometimes, they can grow too much,
And cause problems, with their touch.
Tangling and knotting, with no end in sight,
Blocking out the sun, and choking the light.
Yet even then, there is still hope,
For these tangled roots, can help us cope.
A reminder of our interconnectedness,
And the beauty of life's intricate vastness.
We can honor, these tangled roots,
For they are the foundation, of all our pursuits.
And with care and patience, we can find,
A way to grow, with them entwined.

Hip deep in snow to get there, on my back to take the pic and a hard time getting back up and this is what I get, haha! It's all crooked. Next time I bring my square and my level!!
The Mekong River as seen from the river bank in the town of Kampong Cham, northeast of Phnom Penh, mostly populated by the Cham peoples. Families spend time on the river fishing, their livelihood. Their catch is daily brought to market.

There is no defense, against evil forces and against the inclemency of fate, you can change it, you have to change the eternal injustice, you can remedy the wrong things that fate distributes with full hands in that tangle of snakes which is the life of humans.
Today's dailyshoot assignment is to make a photo that is full of orange.
This was taken with my Nikon D40x and Lensbaby 2.0 with 4.0 aperture and long exposure.
I placed a piece of texture art (woven branches) over an orange curtain and let the daylight glow through, then added a spotlight from below and slightly to the left to add depth and detail
I know what you're thinking. "Another long exposure, Derrick? Really?" Yes, but, this actually accurately depicts my day. I was a burst of crazy energy today. Just ask anyone who saw me. Now I'm not really sure why I was so energetic. I had no additional caffeine, sugar, or anything of the sort. One theory is that I got precisely 8 hours of sleep last night, so maybe I was just simply well rested. In any case, it was a fun day.
