This is my new tangle Yerba. Yerba means grass, herb or weed in Spanish.
Blog post: bit.ly/-yerba
Yerba is an organic tangle and may be drawn with or without embellishments.
In a single stalk, or many like grass.
Please feel free to refer to the step outs to recreate Yerba in your tangles. However I reserve my rights to these images and they should not be copied or reproduced. Thank you! - Debbie New CZT 18

Small-clawed Otter
"All otters have large, webbed hind feet to help them swim... it's the front paws that give away their lifestyle. Small-clawed Otters have SHORT CLAWS and LITTLE WEBBING on their front paws.
They live in sluggish streams and quiet ponds. Their sensitive paws are good for finding crabs, shellfish and frogs in mud and under rocks."

This wonderful waterfall is situated roadside, about 8 minutes NW of the Columbia Icefields, on the HWY 93 (Icefields Parkway) towards Jasper.
There is a climbable path on the left side and you can drench yourself in the mist from the higher upper falls once you are there. Absolutely wonderul on a nice hot day like today!! (6.06.09)

Few other words can describe the fauna behind our house. It's a tangled mess, but we really do have some spectacular sunsets back there from time to time.
Better late then never. Finally decorated the tree today. I was putting on the lights when I noticed the reflection on the hard wood. Of course I had to lay on the ground for this view. Who knew that a simple decorating can turn into a photo event.
After getting back from a long weekend drive up the coast, I discovered urbanspinner's tangles and wanted to do a tile using only these. I love the way Lichen has emerged, but Banners was a failure (I know what went wrong so next time I can get it right). Dervish was a healthy challenge, and Versailles is so pretty.
This is the view literally from the shoulder of the Icefields Parkway. I've never really gotten a good photo of the overall falls, top to bottom. I might go back one more time this year and try this shot from different angles and in different weather and light conditions.
According to World Waterfall Database, the falls top tier is a 114 ft drop in as many as 6 braids (that would depend on flow at the time, since some of the braids go dry), then drops over 3 more tiers: 14 ft; 18; and 13; tall.
Quote from the database:
"The scenic qualities of Tangle Falls far outweigh the shortcomings of the lack of streamflow. The falls are always worth stopping to enjoy, though the crowds commonly seen here may test ones patience at times."
I'd say they pretty much got it right, although simply understated.
