For the dare at thebrightowl.com. Drawn on watercolor paper, colored with Derwent Inktense Pencils, shaded with water and brush.
I left a nice wide space at the 'front' for further play. At the back is a bed and there are a few other little details placed, hobbies mentioned in the song When Will my Life Begin?
I do wish there was an official LEGO produced acoustic guitar though! The Friends guitar had to make do.
Meet Tangle, one of three of Greater Manchester Police horses who were winners in the Animal Hero Awards 2016, sponsored by the RSPCA and The Daily Mirror.
Police horses Hexam, Captain and Tangle were honoured at the star-studded ceremony in London, hosted by Amanda Holden and attended by celebrities including Alesha Dixon and Brian May.
Along with a former military dog called Rex, Hexam, Captain and Tangle were awarded joint Public Service Animal of Year for their bravery while working a football match between Manchester United and Liverpool in March.
When the game finished and the crowds began to exit the stadium, a group of fans made threats of violence, determined to reach opposing fans.
As the horses intervened to control the situation, they were targeted by the group who began to throw coins, smoke bombs and fireworks. The horses were then repeatedly shoved, punched and pelted with projectiles.
Leaping into action, Hexam, Captain and Tangle helped to push back the troublesome crowd, making sure that the missiles fell short of innocent fans leaving from nearby exits.
Sergeant Cara Charlesworth, one of the police riders that evening, said: “The courage that these three horses showed in what must have been a terrifying experience was amazing.
“They did not falter and repeatedly dealt with the crowd again and again when every one of their instincts should have been telling them to turn and run.
“What was also remarkable was that five minutes later the same three horses were stood out on the forecourt as if nothing had happened, letting small children and genuine fans stroke them and have photos taken, despite being violently attacked only minutes earlier.”
Hexam, Captain and Tangle were also nominated for their involvement with the evacuation of 75,000 fans during the bomb scare at Old Trafford in May.
Specialist Operations Inspector Susan Redfern, responsible for the Mounted Unit, said: “Congratulations to Hexam, Captain and Tangle for winning this thoroughly deserved award.
“With the support of their riders, Sergeant Charlesworth, PC Cassie Barratt and PC Aaron Wilson, they managed to make an extremely volatile situation stable.”
When asked to comment on receiving their award, Hexam, Captain and Tangle responded: “It was neigh trouble!”

The Brompton is continual sight at St Pancras railway station.
Rail travel and the Brompton folding bicycle are a great combination. The compact size of the Brompton when folded means it will fit in even a crowded train without too much hassle.
This chap attempted the clever and impressive looking front and rear unfolding at the same time... and got the chain tangled up.

The Ornate Chorus Frog is a winter-breeding resident of intact longleaf pine-wiregrass forests of the southeastern US. Because only 2% of that ecosystem remains, this frog is now very localized. Even more worrisome is that recurring droughts over the past two decades have stymied successful reproduction in many areas and populations have disappeared from most of peninsular Florida. A dense suburban matrix precludes natural recolonization of many of these areas should normal rain patterns ever return.
I love it. Love the colour, the cables, the perfect fit and those beautiful wooden buttons. Just love everything about it.

This is my take on "X-Did": This was my first attempt at drawing X-Did on a ZIA postcard :P For my string, I layered 3 Bijou tiles over each other randomly :P I found that I enjoyed this UMT challenge better than the previous UMT (MacDee) a whole lot more. Instead of adding shading to my X-Dids (in the 3 corners), I added additional lines and I loved the result :) In the middle of my Ixorus I actually made a blunder (I was watching Running Man!!) and I had to add in a line of Cockles and Mussels :P To complement that line, I decided my Ixorus would also incorporate the same tangle instead of my usual shading :P In between the leaves and the lower X-Did, there is something that looks a bit like Shard/Shattuck xD It probably looks more like Shattuck but it wasn't deliberate xD (Thanks Running Man, once again.. for added distraction :P)
P.S. I didn't really want to use Sanibelle again, but it complements Ixorus really well.
Featuring the tangles: Cockles and Mussels, Ixorus, Sanibelle, Shard/Shattuck, X-Did

Now this one was a massive challenge. The tower from tangeled. I did some research and found to my horror it was top heavy - not great for cake. I also had to make it when it was very humid last week, which didn't help. It has quite a complicated internal structure to keep it upright, I was quite suprised when I took away the external supports and found it did stay up by itself. Regular sponge cake, with Disney figurines supplied by the client.
This one was really fun to do although it turned out kind of "busy". Went clam digging yesterday, so I loved the subject. Tangles used: Cockles & Mussels, Squid, Sanibelle, Tearce, and Nipa variation.
