Happy Monday Everyone

I know, I know... But I just like trees! :-)

52MP Stitch.

Ceramic artwork in shop in Kritsa, Crete, Greece.

I captured this exposure of a group of ash trees by placing my smartphone on the forest floor below them and setting a 10 second timer delay. I later did some post production to bring out some of the detail in the trees and to slightly darken the sky. I enjoy exposing scenes like this, as they create natural black and white photos. Happy new year everyone!

There are times I am wandering through our neighborhood and what I see before me stops me in my tracks. This flower had fallen off the tree, along with myriad other hot pink blossoms. I almost danced with delight as I scooped up two or three specimens to take home. They reminded me of a sewing project gone wrong, with tangled threads everywhere. Hooray for the Mimosa tree!

This web looks multicoloured on my phone, but not on laptop. Think I need to calibrate my computer.. so I don't know how you guys are going to see this!

I think it looks kind of cool anyway 😊

Spider webs are works of art!

A geometric work, created from my backlit diptych version of Shadowfold "13" made by Robin Scholz. You could say it's another backlit version of that one ;-)

It's very interesting how the image changes again in an almost graphic work.

Shadowsfolds are works of art created by folding cloth in patterns bases on geometric designs.

If you are interested, you can find more information in the book: Shadowfolds - Jeffrey Rutzky and Chris Palmer.

“All the lies you find

All the truths you see

Rise and fall

But I know what's mine

Here we lie

Looking up to

Empty sky

And the promises we find

I'm not the first one

To ask why

I was thinking

Got the feeling

The gift you gave

Is gonna last forever”

Great Egret in breeding plumage, Orlando Wetlands Park, Christmas, Florida

It all started with the ice storm.

A popular waterfall along Alberta's Icefields Parkway.

Tangle Falls tumbles 114 feet (35 meters) over several tiers.

I occasionally get asked how far I had to hike to see the falls.

I left the Parkway in the lower crop to show just how far I had to hike......;-)) Doesn't get any easier than this. Good parking on the other side.

Thanks for your visit!

A fishing boat in the harbour at Oban. Whoever has or had the task to get these nests ready and untangled must have the patience of a saint!.

At first I though the boat may have been decorative but low & behold out it went for the day all crew on board! Looked a bit rusty to me!
