What if our thoughts materialized as tangible actions in remote locations?
IMAGINATIVE is an installation work consisting of two rooms.
In the first, there is a monitor displaying a table with a cup in an empty room. Using a specialized (eye tracking / brain computer) interface, participants can telekinetically control the cup in the remote space. The shifting of the cup back and forth, poised in the air, expresses someone's imagination in real-time.
In the second room, the audience will encounter an extraordinary spectacle. Sitting on the table is a green robot arm enabling the cup to move, while the floor surrounding the table is covered in broken cups.
Given that brain computer interfaces directly connect our “consciousness” with the external world, what does “imagination” mean? What is the “imagination” that we present to the world?

In my project,I will combine the still_life with the checkmate idea to generate a narratives that combines real objects in a specific viewport. By using the camera effects like depth of field to develop a sense of light and space that seem tangible.

I'm not entirely sure why I chose to execute this concept, but I do know that it has a lot of meaning to me. I've seen things like this done before, and as much as I hate doing pieces I think are cliche, I love this idea.
Not the idea that literature transports us to another world, or something dumb like that, but the idea that there's more out there. That the ideas you have in your head, and the cravings you write down can someday become real. The notion that adventure is out there, and you don't have to be trapped in your bedroom for the rest of your life.
And I love that thought.
