Niko had a wonderful tree house at the end of our garden, but Hurricane Milton destroyed it. So he built this new one and just added the new seat in the second photograph. He is quite innovative and talented and loves to find new things to make.

With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe, and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for your visits, faves and invitations.

I like to call this arachnid art with molluscan embellishments. There are some very large spiders and significantly sized slugs in the greenhouse and at night I think it's a party time free for all.

Bert is really talented at swimming and not afraid of big waves at all. I quite like that, but on the flip side it has caused me one or two heart stopping moments when the current in the water going out was quite strong and Bert got dragged out a bit further than I would have liked.

Procida is the smallest island of the Gulf of Naples; it is rich in attractions and archaeology. From the ground floor of Napoli Centro train station, you can take the metro to station Pozzuoli then get off and take the ferry at the port of Pozzuoli. The architecture of Procida has a Greek origin. In fact, the history of Procida is concentrated first of all on the medieval village “Terra Murata” and on “Corricella”, the fishing settlement. The island has served as the set for numerous films, such as The “Postman”, and some scenes in “The Talented Mr. Ripley” were shot on Corricella. The landmarks of Procida reflect typical Mediterranean pastel colours. Procida offers simply cooking and at least 10 excellent restaurants with plain cooking based on fresh fish. This simple style never fails, thanks to the 20 local fishing boats. The specialties of the cooking are: stewed rabbit (which goes back to the Borbonen who came on Procida to hunt the wild rabbit) and spaghetti with sea-urchin. Procida has 6 beaches with crystal-clear waters. Spent some relaxing days on this wonderful island. Experience the real Italy, lovely people, great views, great sand and great food.

A working fishing village Corricella with a restaurant dock area. The view of the castle from down here is amazing. This harbour and the view of it from the opposite side of Procida, must be one of the most beautiful places in Italy - an iconic landmark. One gorgeous port that looks like time has stood still which only adds to it's charm and if you can make you way up to the old prison by quite a few steps you'll be rewarded with views to die for.

I'M BACK. And I'm so happy to upload finally! Going without photography for the past two weeks has been so crappy and I'm actually not looking forward to my 365 being over. I'm hoping to regularly upload from now on, but school is finishing in just over one week, then I'll have holidays for two weeks. So expect to see a hell lot of new stuff.

The mark ii is like a god, and I still don't know how to use it properly lol. But I've worked it out well enough now. I finally got to expand a photo of myself, and use a remote for the first time. All things I am so excited to continue doing!

I received a very nice flickrmail with a great critique on my fly macro from one of my favorite, very talented flickr friends. I read it over carefully early this morning and said, 'tis true, I have to concentrate more, think about the technical, not just go out and shoot. So, I go out this morning for a walk with Benny on the riverfront and what do I do... just shoot. And I like this photo! LOL.

Thanks for all your sweet comments yesterday. Got some more "bad" business news today from a client, which after some reflecting, might really be "very good" news. Sometimes God troubles the waters so I am forced out of rut (or a cesspool) that I won't get out of myself. This morning, I am actually excited about it. More time to shoot ;D, more opportunities to take work that I truly enjoy doing. It's even not a bad thing to tighten your belt for a bumpy ride once in awhile. Or bill! No more waiting! :D (Although, me thinks I should have gotten the telephoto before this happened, since I will adopt a wait and see attitude now. LOL)

Please do keep those criticisms coming... one day they'll stick! ;D Until then, enjoy some weeds on the water, which, reminded me of yet another Eva Cassidy cover... this time of a coded slave song, which later became a gospel classic.

Oh, it's also good lively tune, making it the perfect choice for boogie-ing around the kitchen with the Mr. and Benny Bear ;D!

Small painting (5" X 11") on Arches 300. The reflections are not quite right. I want to try this one again.

Last Sunday while at the San Francisco Zoo the wife and kids went into the gift shop to find things they could not live without. I can't stand places like that so I wandered around while they shopped and found myself at the giraffe exhibit. As I stood there this big guy came up close and then stretched his long neck trying to reach the tree limbs above him but was just about six inches too short. 'Ah' I thought, 'better luck next time'. And that is when he rolled out his big blue tongue. Whoa. He could just reach the lowest branch with the tip of it but still I thought 'not quite'. Wrong again cause that is when he wrapped his prehensile tongue around that branch and pulled it down to him where he could have a little snack. "Impressive," I thought, followed closely with "man, if only I had a tongue like that, the things I could do.."

Meet Michel, probably one of the nicest guys in greater Montreal. A talented graphic artist, he worked for me years ago when I was the youngest director in a large company, heading up a Creative Department of 20+ writers, artists and printing coordinators, many of whom were older than I and at least 3 who thought they should have my job. It wasn't always easy for me, but Michel was always there for me. He now works at another company I used to work for and occasionally do freelance for now. I can go years without seeing Michel and then see him once or twice a year when we'll work on a project together. Each time he sees me he appears genuinely puzzled and asks how come I never age. Good man, Michel. This is his workspace and I was so happy to see him once again today and take his pic, too. Thanks for posing for me Michel, you joked you would see this on the internet. Well, there you go...

Project 365-245

After missing the first two days of Texans training camp before agreeing to a five-year, $14 million contract Saturday, outside linebacker Brian Cushing is eager to get on the practice field today with his new teammates.

Cushing, the first-round draft choice from Southern California, is getting $10.435 million in guaranteed money to become the starter on the strong side and help improve a defense that ranked 22nd last season, including 23rd against the run.

“I’m just relieved and excited to have this done,” Cushing said. “I’m ready to play football and help the team win.”

Cushing (6-3, 262) was in Los Angeles when agent Tom Condon reached the agreement with general manager Rick Smith and director of football administration Chris Olsen.

Cushing’s contract could be worth a maximum of $18 million over five years.

In the fifth year of his deal, there’s a clause that could earn him an additional $4 million in an escalator bonus.

Odds are that Cushing’s contract will be extended before he enters the fifth season in 2013.

Smith and Olsen will have all eight of their draft choices under contract when the Texans take the field for the third day of two-a-day drills at their Methodist Training Center.

“It’s very important to have him signed,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “Rick and Chris were up at 3 in the morning trying to get it done. They’ve done a good job.

“Brian’s two days behind now, but he didn’t miss anything we did in the offseason program, so that’s a good thing. He wanted to be here while we were working on the contract, but he couldn’t.”

Rookies who have signed with the Texans report a week early for conditioning and meetings before practicing for the first time with the veterans. Cushing wanted to report with the rookies.

He was working out at Reliant Stadium last week when the Texans had to explain league rules that forced him to leave.

Cushing took what turned out to be a quick trip back to Los Angeles. He returned to Houston on Saturday afternoon.

Texans coaches are excited to get him on the practice field.

“We’re going to put the pads on (Sunday morning), and I know he’s chomping at the bit to get out there,” Kubiak said.

After the Texans used the 15th pick in the first round on Cushing, they inserted him into the starting lineup. He impressed his coaches in the organized team activities and minicamp.

“We like his presence on the ball,” Kubiak said, meaning Cushing has a knack for finding the ball and making plays. “He’s playing over the tight end, and we’re going to ask him to do a great deal. We think he can handle it.

“Brian’s very athletic. He’s physical against the run. He can rush the passer. He can drop into coverage. We brought him here for a reason, and we’re going to put him to work real fast.”

Frank Bush, who is in his first season as defensive coordinator, has to make calls that maximize Cushing’s strengths. The faster Cushing learns, the quicker Bush plans to utilize all his talent.

“We’re going to try to take advantage of all his talent,” Bush said. “Because he’s such a talented kid, there are a lot of things we can do with him.”

The coaches say they think Cushing has everything it takes to become a star at his position.

“Brian can turn and run with the tight end,” Bush said. “He’s big and strong enough to strike them at the line of scrimmage and nullify some of their speed down the field, so we’re comfortable with him in coverage.

“His ability also gives us a chance to be aggressive toward the quarterback. He’s a big guy who’s shown he can get there.”

Today's special guest is one super cute and lovely girl among the most talented and appreciated young SL bloggers. In a very short time she could conquer many of the most famous Second Life brands with her talent and her fresh, adorable style. Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to the cutest, the sweetest, the gorgeous (as well as my lil SL sis): Ms. Andie Panda !

Cla - Hi, sis! I've finally dragged you here hehe. Are you ready? Okay, let's get serious and let's start! First of all, thank you so much for accepting to be interviewed

Andie - Aw, thank you so much for asking me to be part of this series, sis. I’m super excited to tell a little bit of my Second Life story!

C. - Let's go back to your first steps on Second Life. Your partner Pengu in NSLS ep.2 told us how back in 2019 you and him started your SL together (www.flickr.com/photos/164400702@N02/52248516615/in/datepo...). What was, at that time, your first impression about this little magical word?

A. – Yeah! Um, I first became aware of SL a couple years before I joined. Only in passing though, I didn’t really know what it was other than being a virtual world. So, the first time I made an account and logged in I was pretty amazed by how expansive the world was. There is so much to explore, and to get involved in. Of course, for me, all the different clothes and mesh bodies and heads were what really drew me in. I was pretty immediately taken with the idea of creating this totally unique avi that could look like anything I imagined it to. To this day I love reinventing my look and exploring the endless lovely sims that make up SL.

C. - With time you got interested into SL photography and blogging. Now you blog for some important SL brands like Tres Blah, Foxy, Mellowcute, Foxcity and many others. Can you tell us how and when did your blogger experience begin? What is your style, the magic ingredient that makes your sl photography unique?

A. - It was really Pengu who introduced me to SL Flickr, and since then I have been in awe of the beautiful art that is uploaded daily. He got into taking pictures before I did, mostly because my laptop at the time was not able to keep up. I would take pictures and they would just be so pixelated, but I would post them on my Flickr and be so proud of my 10 likes!

I really got into blogging in June of 2021. That was when Pengu got his first sponsorship, and to be honest I was a little jealous! I spent most of that summer blogging for a couple newer brands and really focusing on growing my follower count and learning editing software and Black Dragon which changed my photography game immensely. Foxcity was my first major sponsor. Our mutual friend, Ethan Lane, pushed me to enter her blogging contest and I was one of the people chosen, I remember feeling really intimidated but that was when blogging became more than just snapping a cute picture. It’s really about representing brands to the best of my ability because I love their work.

As far as my style, I don’t know that I could nail it down in one specific category. I’ll go, you know, months of doing lots of girly and pink and pretty pictures and then on a whim I’ll want to do darker and grittier things. Last October I really embraced Halloween and did a lot of witchy, more gothic pictures. So, I guess what makes my style unique is that it is always changing!

C. - I know you like to "collect" SL mesh heads, just like me. Do you have a favorite one?

A. – Collect is a very nice way of saying ‘spend way too much money on’ hahahahahha. Um, much like with my style fashion-wise, I feel like I am constantly reinventing my avi to fit with whatever mood I am feeling at the moment. When you and I first met I wore Lelutka Ceylon pretty much all the time. Prior to that I was wearing a lot of Glam Affair skins and I loved the Genus heads. Right now, I’m wearing Briannon. As far as a favorite, it’s so hard to pick just one. I still have fond feelings for my Genus Baby head and the original Lelutka Evolution Nova head.

C. - We all know love is a great source of inspiration, and we can see your sparking creativity at its best in all your couple photos with your partner Pengu. Some of those pics are currently featured, until the end of September, at The Gallery of Photographic Art for the "Three couples telling their stories" exhibit (here the slurl for our viewers who'd like to visit it: maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Goldbach/210/153/25 ).

Would you like to tell us something about your story? What is your (second) life with Pengu -and Pengy, the little penguin who joined your family- like?

A. – Aw, Pengu. He is a huge part of my life in and out of SL. Our friendship first started when we bonded over a shared enjoyment of writing stories and from there, we found out we have a lot in common. He’s so funny and so kind. And he is endlessly supportive of me. He is the one who really gave me that nudge to start getting into taking pictures, and from there encouraged me to get into blogging. He makes me laugh and he always knows how to pick me up when I get down on myself. I could never say enough about what an amazing person he is and just how much I love him.

I think at our cores, Pengu and I tend to be more introverted unless we are around the amazing friends we’ve met in world. So, a lot of the time we are just quietly at home, planning pictures or going to shopping events. And of course, whatever we do, we cannot do it without Pengy. I like to joke with Pengu that Pengy is a bit of a diva, and that he has been in more collab pictures than Pengu and I combined. But I love the little guy. How could you not, he’s adorable.

C. - You also are a very good writer, and you just mentioned how you met Pengu thanks to your mutual passion for writing. Last year, this led you two to create a great romantic series titled "August" about two lovers who lose and then find themselves again (www.flickr.com/photos/pengu_wes/albums/72157719750391407). The story is very beautifully co-written by you and Pengu and masterfully illustrated by you both in your respective versions. Would you like to make more photo-series like that? Can we expect for more of those?

A. – Oh yes, the August series. That story was one that Pengu and I dreamed up together probably a year before we turned it into the photo series, and it was so amazingly fun to see characters we’d created be translated into a new format. It was just really special. As far as would we do another series, you know, I think that if the inspiration were to strike then nothing is out of the question. We have several other stories that I think would make for a fun, engaging series. So I guess we will see what the future brings!

C. - Is there one photo you particularly love, among all the ones you took, and we can watch on your Flickr?

A. – Oh man, it is difficult to choose a favorite! I have so many pictures that I love and that have done well, but I think the first one that comes to mind is www.flickr.com/photos/andie_panda/52014566831/in/dateposted/

It was such a fun picture to take, I love the vintage vibes, and I feel like it really captures Pengu and I’s relationship!

C. - Our interview is almost over. I'm gonna set you free, sis. But not before inviting you to ask yourself a question and give yourself an answer.

A. – I’m going to use my question to ask you a question, sis! I would love to know what picture from your Flickr is your personal favorite?

And thank you again for having me. This was so much fun and I am super excited to see who is next!

C. - Haaa, you got me, sis! Now I realize how hard is to respond this question. Well, the pics from my flickr I love the most are the ones I took with the ones I love. Those are certainly the most meaningful and important, my little memories. So I'm gonna take this chance to remember of our first pic taken together www.flickr.com/photos/164400702@N02/51357074571/

Thank you kindly Andie for answering my questions and let us to know better about the wonderful girl you are, your fantastic photo skills and your interesting sweet world!

Sorry to go on about this but … The actors/actresses in this series are very talented and attractive. The cinematography is lovely. The story is suspenseful, with sprinkles of comedy. It is romantic and scary with elements of a Greek or Shakespearean tragedy. I’ve been watching Korean historical dramas and other Korean series on Netflix during my 12 week recovery from cervical spine surgery so much so that people in my dreams, (including myself) were speaking what was supposed to be Korean. 😄

And I stop in the traffic through the noise and the static

Ecstatic just to have it, erratic though it seems

My dreams are less fantastic than reality can be

So look at me, baring flesh and hiding soul

An alchemist, turning hunger into gold

Bold as the thunder under auspices of light

Blessings bestowed abundant, a charmed sort of life

It's like it's luck on my karmic credit card

A good deed gone unpunished, my ransom and reward

I'm the stone to your sword, the Goliath to your David

Your favorite-flavored fable, to satisfy and savor

A chic-shabby heroine or a damsel in distress

Star cross'd lovers, Montagues and Capulets

Poison and daggers in iambic pentameter

Bragging borrowed wisdom, listen, voice of an amateur

The diameter of my sphere of influence grows

With each white lie that I've told, every promise turned hollow

And oaths before God just because I was scared

Unprepared to go where lack of care child-bared

But still she's here with me now, how I long for her embrace

Soon enough my child, with God's given grace

Thy will be done.

This challenge is very late and it was called "A Blush of Colour". I think I got a little carried away with the colour...it's definitely more than a blush. I did have fun. I wish I would have used Permanent Rose for the underpainting instead of Scarlet Lake.
