Talented Gnaoua musicians and singers in Khamlia a village in eastern Morocco on the edge of the Sahara desert. These musical families start to train their youngsters to play traditional instruments when they are very young. The little boy in the picture had been performing with this group for a year, he was only allowed to perform the easier numbers and routines.

Backstory....The Lady in the blue hat is a brilliant violinist. She had just been performing in the High Street. Her violin is now strapped to her back and her pa system is in front of her.

She was very talented but probably not getting recognition for her skills.

By chance I managed to catch the gentleman in the ray of sunshine with light bulbs behind him. I couldn't help thinking that should be where the lady should be standing......🤔

Hello there! TGIF my friends! Happy Friday! I hope all is well. I am here with a Bedroom Suite I decorated for the Gallant Magazine Spring 2019 Issue! The issue is for Spring so I based this room off of the season. Mint green came to me as my color of inspiration. I had no limitations as far as what I could use to decorate with so I really enjoyed just setting up a space that I felt represented Spring and my love of the season. Mint green, White and Gold were the main colors I went with for that Blooming Spring feel. For me Spring is when everything gets back to growing and you can smell fresh cut grass and blooming flowers in the gardens and that is the mood I was going for. I want to thank Divos and Gallant magazine for having me as a featured blogger! It was a true honor! This edition of the Gallant magazine is the 2nd anniversary and it's filled with many beautiful things and talented people, creators, bloggers and stylists. A vital denizen of the woods, the Pileated Woodpecker (Dryocopus pileatus) helps countless other woodland residents. Living throughout the vast majority of the eastern U.S., these handsome birds (photographed here is a male, identifiable by his red mustache) enjoy the finer things in forest life...carpenter ants. And they are relentless in their searches for these delicious morsels of insect. Occasionally, a tree will be ripe with them, and burst open like a piñata to their talented, hammering beaks. Once the pileated has had his fill, he will move along, and other birds will come to investigate and dine on remaining food stuffs. Would it be too far a stretch to consider this dashing character as something of a carpenter ant-giving Robin Hood?

A testa rossa (redhead, and yes, even before Enzo coined the name there were testa rossas) absorbing a 1951 "bullet nosed" Studebaker, and not sure what to make of it! Her thoughts might be, "...weird, but maybe in a nice way, yes, weird! I kinda like it. I think!"

And I think that's how many would have felt about the late forties and early fifties Studebakers back then. The designs were met with a mixed reception and definitely a mixed audience of lovers, and haters, and probably little middle ground. The design of the late forties / early fifties Studebakers included both the Starlite Coupes and the later bullet nosed models, and they came from the pen of Robert Bourke. Bourke had started with Studebaker as part of the design team in 1940 earning $75 dollars a week. The team was led by Raymond Loewy during the 1940s, and Loewy had a talented team working on Studebaker designs, including Bourke, Vince Gardner and, Gordon Buehrig (who was responsible for the great-looking Cord models), and Virgil Exner, (Exner later went on to work for Chrysler Corp and was responsible for their "Forward Look" designs of the fifties and beyond)

When I picked Della to do 52 weeks for dogs this year it never crossed my mind that Tug wouldn’t be here to make an appearance in some of her weekly photos. I just figured at her age I should try and take as many photos of her as possible. I thought Tug would have a turn again next year. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and you have to learn how to live it it.

How fortunate am I to have a talented friend who wanted to do a portrait of Tug for me. I gave her several photos of him and here is what she came up with. I'd say she nailed it. I think Della even thinks so.
