Passing a cargo vessel during another short excursion from Trondheim to Kristiansund on a ship belonging to the Hurtigruten fleet: M/V Richard With, built in Strahlsund, Germany, in 1993, complete with lifts and stabilisers and a panorama lounge.

Tale of a Sperm Whale near Andenes

Rooted in history, this city skyline rises majestically against the expansive sky. The stone buildings, each with its own story, line up like chapters in a book. The pink hue of a notable building breaks through the otherwise earthy tones, a visual highlight that underscores the city's uniqueness.

CP Rail RS18U's 1802 and 1807 drop some cars in the St Johnsbury VT yard for the New Hampshire Vermont, that operated over the former Maine Central Mountain Division. Soon they'll head south and spot cars at the paper mill in East Ryegate, which required the use of a switchback to access it. The tell-tale to the left of the train is sitting above the old St Johnsbury and Lamoille County line to Morrisville, which is now part of Vermont's expanding rail trail network. I missed the area in it's heyday, but am thankful for what I was able to shoot before it all went away.

Exhibition by Christie van der Haak at the Gemeentemuseum in The Hague.

For her show in the Gemeentemuseum’s Projects Gallery, Van der Haak has created a site-specific installation that transforms the entire space into a vivid extravaganza of (sometimes dazzlingly coloured) fairy tale patterns. The spectacle is complemented by fabric designs, objets d’art and paintings, including the artist’s Apocalyptic Horsemen series from the Gemeentemuseum’s own collection.

Dall’alto delle ripide colline, la marca trevigiana, in Veneto si svela in tutta la sua bellezza autunnale.

I vigneti, vestiti di rame e oro, si arrampicano ordinati sui pendii, raccontando secoli di tradizione.

Il profumo della terra bagnata e delle foglie cadute accompagna i passi lungo i sentieri inerpicati, mentre il sole tiepido accarezza la pelle.

Un mosaico di colori, casolari sparsi, e filari che sembrano perdersi all’orizzonte. È qui che il passato si intreccia al presente, nei racconti degli anziani che siedono all’osteria, un'ombra di cartizze in mano. I ricordi si mescolano alle risate, mentre il crepitio del fuoco scandisce il ritmo lento delle serate d’autunno. E così, la terra parla, custodendo storie che aspettano solo di essere ascoltate.
