One complaint about SAVOR -- Jeff received a nifty notebook when he checked in as a member of the press. We assumed we would get them, too, when we checked in. Alas, no. But we were told we would get a free gift a piece on the way out if we saved our ticket stubs.

I had a sneaking suspicion and yep -- tasting notebooks. On the way out. And these were specially designed for this event, with info about the specific foods being paired, etc.

I asked the people handing them out and they said they figured it would be too much for people to carry. Plus, they didn't have pens. I with they had let the attendees decide whether it was too much to handle or not.

Apparently a new shooter nails around 2-3 clay pigeons on the first day. I got around 9-10 in this game!

I was watching this Great Blue Heron at Lake Galena (In Bucks County,PA) when he suddenly took off. They are beautiful and majestic birds.

this is the same image as above in black and white. i love how this turned out. this whole thing was experimental, and i think i was to do that alot more now!
