This is my Tablet Desktop. The workspace shortcuts lead to .cmd files inspired by Lifehacker. I have one for each class, one for study, and one for leisure. Each opens different programs, according to class needs. The yellow shortcut leads to a .cmd file that closes the running programs (also inspired by Lifehacker), deletes any image files on the desktop (from taking screen clippings to insert into my notes), and sends any .doc or .pdf files to their proper folders. The idea is that when class ends, instead of wasting time performing all of these tasks by hand, I can simply finish them with one click. I haven't figured out yet how to close specific open folders this way without also exiting the Windows taskbar, though.

I'm used to move around the screen with the mpuse. Since I took this Photoshop class I've been using the pens tablet, nut it DRIVES ME WILD not to have the experience to do so.
This is my first attempt at tabletweaving text. I'm practicing to see what I need to do to make centered, legible text within a band in preparation for making a dog leash. This is Gill Sans from Linda Hendrickson's Please Weave a Message. Notice how it's reversed on the back? The words look odd, but the dog paws will be kinda cool. Since this type face has no capital letters, I think I might brocade the initial caps with a flourish.
One of the late Georgian tablets from the old church at Newbold Pacey, resited at the west end of the rebuilt church.
The church of St George the Martyr at Newbold Pacey was totally rebuilt in 1881-2 by John Loughborough Pearson in a form consisting of nave and chancel, with an aisle and transept on the south side and a distinctive saddleback tower on the north (which also serves as an entrance porch).
There are however still traces of the humble medieval predesscor of this church, most notably the two Norman doorways Pearson reused, and several wall tablets within from the old building, the most important being the Baroque Carew monument.
Otherwise the furnishings and glass are contemporary with the building and not of great interest, excepting the beautiful Arts & Crafts reredos with a superb painting of Christ in Majesty flanked by carved figures of Sts Michael & George.

The method of chance has been integral to each of my collages; it has come to be nicknamed “pick magic.” Carefully cut pieces are picked and matched with backgrounds without looking at either. The collage then goes back into rotation until it is finished, it may take a day or several years.
The Dadaist’s, particularly Jean Arp, pioneered this idea of chance in collage. He believed chance introduced an imbalance and immediacy that restored a work’s mysterious vitality and its primeval magic power.
I have found through this method, correlations and patterns I wouldn’t have discovered on my own, making the experience of creation far more exciting. You begin developing a dialogue between yourself and your subconscious, rich with humour, surprises and insight.

The crowd applauded politely as the Bishop of Birmingham, the Right Reverend Edward Isley D.D laid the foundation stone. It was October 17th, 1905. The building was to be a red brick two storey affair, with a central court yard. Father Hudson, the priest responsible for its building would have felt very proud and full of hope as the boys home opened soon after. However, after 91 years, the home closed it's doors for the last time. Today, St Edwards home for boys lies empty and boarded up.
