We were assigned a table setting group assignment in one of my classes. This was what one of the groups produced (not mine).
On the weekend, I met a friend for lunch at the Hooded Merganser while in Penticton visiting my grandpa. The weather was absolutely brilliant the whole time i was there, although I never really had a chance to enjoy the beauty of it other than this day. I was super busy!
However, i have some very nice memories of this afternoon.
This image was not colour enhanced at all.
This is how it was when we was sitting in the restaurant enjoying our lunch.

In front of the window, behind the table, is a chaise lounge which has the same design as the chairs at the table. The door to the right leads into the formal parlor. We treated ourselves to one evening at a ryokan. A ryokan is a traditional Japanese hotel, usually in the mountains, which is a typical vacation destination for Japanese people.
It is said that the meals at ryokans are unbelievable, and this is indeed true. We food lovers were in heaven! We were served dish upon dish of breakfast and dinner in our room by the loveliest person.
