The table setting for the Christmas tea.

Just what you do when you are under the weather ... faff about setting the table for dinner :)))

I'm getting over a cold, and am doing fine.

On the menu was a salad of lettuce, rocket, radish, peas, beetroot and feta, with a homemade vinaigrette and garlic bread, followed by Viennetta ice cream. I also made lemonade with fresh lemons and brown sugar.

Day 25

Merry Christmas everyone.

Not a particularly Christmasy setting, but neither is our Christmas fayre.

We will be having 2 grazing platters, a savoury and a sweet, which I'm now about to go and prepare.

I do have a top tip for everyone ... if you are arranging flowers covered in glitter, it is a good idea not to do them on the table where you are going to display them, as my plum coloured tablecloth is now covered in glitter :))

PS ... those of you who shop at Sainsbury's might recognise the plates and glasses. I "bought" them in October and they were free, as my accumulated Nectar points paid for them.

After the ceremony, someone's garland ends up here. Makes for freer dancing.

Day 13

This evening there will be a Garlic Mushroom and Potato Frittata with Salad, followed by I don't know what, yet, but maybe just a mince pie and a satusma.

The design is great, but the food is awful.

Dreaming of green planty friends, I just can't wait to garden! I've used my vintage coconut palm tablecloth again and paired it with minty and green melmac, ivy glasses, a fun vintage pitcher, a fiberglass tray, a lovely serving bowl, and one of my artgoodies nest towels! Plus check out those killer polka dot green vintage napkins! I know there is more winter on the way but this green cheers me up and reminds me I'm getting closer to time outside!

Day 31/31

My final table setting for the month, and it had to be on a sort of Halloween theme :)
