Tokoto Kogaku Topcor 2.5cm f3.5 is one of the nicest wide angle lenses I know. As others it looses some sharpness in coins even on f8 (kind of sweet spot), may exhibit some vignetting. But 16cm minimal focus distance and beautiful Tokyo Kogaku glass could produce very nice bokeh even without focusing helicoid.

This is SOOC jpg file, Z5 neutral profile is used with some in camera added sharpness and contrast. Kind of, my settings for old lenses that have single coating.

A macro of one of the flowers on my amaryllis which eventually burst into bloom on 3 January. For added effect I placed a red chopping board behind it. You can never have too much red I always think 😊 ❤️❤️

Have a wonderful Saturday, playing with the string from yesterdays 2020 photo shoot where I pegged my 2020 cut outs, I was winding up the string and made a love heart ~ KissThePixel2020

Last one in my playfulness with tulips at home during the recent home confinement. It's been interesting and rewarding finding things to photograph around the house and garden.

For Crazy Tuesday "Coffee / Tea Cup"

I have to confess that John Blakemore and his tulip series has had a big influence on me. He started photographing vases of tulips catching the light in his house and then progressed to much much elaborate still life set-ups at times. Tulips have become a very popular motif amongst many but the recent lockdown imposed limitations and made me look at different ways of photographing around house and garden. These tulips were pot grown for a garden display but fell victim to my lens as they faded, giving them new life.

The theme of week 4, 2022 is: Table Top. I first needed to understand what it was: It could be a photo made of something on a table. So I thought of interesting subjects. I chose to take pictures of my chess set that I inherited from my grandfather. This chessboard and the pieces were handmade by him and a friend in 1936, almost a century ago . The black and white version worked best!

On top of a tree stump, nature has arranged a seasonal display. I bet you'd pay quite a bit to get an arrangement like that!
