I took the image with a Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 objective on a camping place near Neustrelitz. Constructive criticism is welcome. Everyone a nice day. :)
Biting the wing that feeds you. After a feeding and preening, an adult manu o Kū prepares to depart the nest for another fishing trip, seemingly to the reluctance of the downy chick. I love their oddly bulbous shiny eyes. The manu o Kū, or white tern, is an arboreal nesting seabird that thrives in urban Honolulu. Adults fish up to 120 miles offshore and return with fresh provisions rather than devouring then regurgitating a meal for their chick. This avian behavior was known to Polynesian voyagers and other seafarers. A landmass that may be out of view over the horizon could be located by following these birds conveying their catch back to their nestling.
We had driven some 1,000km and somehow managed to be travelling with just minutes to spare for making it on location in time for sunset. How does that happen? How can you travel so far and just happen to be cutting it that fine on time?
Anyway, we were. And we weren’t going to miss it.
We had left Balranald and the bitumen and were discussing what average speed we would need to maintain on the dirt if we were to make it on time. Finally a number was agreed upon and.. would you believe it, we made it ;)
So, here we were, in this crazy pre-historic land with 2 sunrises and 2 sunsets ahead of us – suddenly we had all the time in the world.

T - Targowischte
In this rather quiet year I tried to collect the older platevariants in addition to the completion of the "normal" codes. Here it even worked with a code that I, after OB, saw the least so far - Targowischte. Only the year before I was successful with "T" of the current series at this very place.
Seen in Leipzig, about 1760km from home.
I overlapped 4 of 6 consecutive shots (no pause between each shot) and this is the result.

As many others it is colorful painted by artists.
Best to be photographed during the night as not so many people are around.
