Have a great week.
Taken this evening at Dell Quay Marina near Chichester. I took 25 pictures over an hour and a half standing in cold water just to get this one good one. So don't worry when the pro on his vlog tells you he always does it in one. Maybe he does maybe he doesn't. Most of us don't.

I used an ND 4 grad filter as the sky was so bright with the sun starting to dip down to the right.
I also used an ND10 to get the effect on the water but also to try and get as much colour in the frame as I could as the sun was starting to go behind a massive bank of cloud just out shot.

I didn't have a telephoto lens and I found a used one on eBay, from a Japanese seller. A Canon New FD 300mm f/4 (None-L) from the early 80s. It's mint and here is a sample of my first tests. I used my Sony A7II (24 Mpx) instead of my A7IV (61 Mpx). For $300 including customs and shipping, I think it's an excellent deal! 10 times cheaper than a Sony 300 mmf/4 but not ten times worse! 😁

I tried to make the most of some free time yesterday and went for a walk up to a very local wind farm that I can actually see from our house. Turned into quite a hike with camera gear and too many layers. I managed to capture a couple of images that are possibles this is one that I thought was a bit different from usual wind farm images. They never cease to amaze me how big they are and how long they seem to take to reach on foot.
Hope you like this.

Combined 2 shots by moving the vertical movement of the technical camera.
A much brighter edit then the last one I did... I like this one more.
I must say I did 2 4 minute exposures and the light is changing very fast at this time of day, Photohop does an amazing job combining the 2 shots and equalizing the light for the 2 exposures.

Shooting around my home region in Italy, the llittle Molise. In Italy, there is a famous joke saying that Molise does not exist -- Molisn't --. Actually, it is a very small region in the south center of the nation with only ~300k inhabitants. Nevertheless, thanks to this little joke, now the region and all the beautiful places in it are more known.

Don't know the full story, or why it's still sitting there after almost 2 years, but here's the local scoop when it happened:

Strobist info:
The scene was illuminated by two Nikon SB900 speedlights at 4- and 10-o'clock fired through snoots in Manual mode @ ⅛ power. The 10-o'clock speedlight had a blue Rogue gel attached.
The SB900s were triggered by PocketWizard Plus Xs.
