This is my build of the Music Thing Modular Radio Music module in 5U MOTM format.

For the past 2 Sundays I've had the wonderful honor of taking photos of my friend's band In False Remedies. They're new sound is great! They're a fun, awesome group of guys with a LOT of talent. Check out their facebook page perhaps? :) Just search for In False Remedies.

The previous owner also repaired a trace and did a battery replacement. He told me that he also was learning electronics on this synth. Fair enough, but I replaced this with a CR2032 Lithium coin cell in a holder.

I got the chance to sneak in a few photos of my husband while he was tinkering away on his synth...

Das Drehmoment / Private Records (2012)

Excellent German cosmic synth! Cosmic Hoffmann is probably best known for his Weltraumboogie 7" which is a big collector's item for the space disco lovers.

From the tape:

"This compilation was created as a cooperation between `Private Records` and `das drehmoment records` as an exclusive promotional item for Worldtronics Trade Fair Dec. 01-2012 at Haus Der Kulturen Der Welt, Berlin.

Cover drawing, coloured ink on paper by Nora Below. Each Tape has a different cover, as extract from the original painting of Nora Below.

Limited handnumbered edition of 50 copies. C-50 cassette. Laser-etched logo on tape (Side A).

CrO2 (Chromium Dioxide) tapes were used for this release.

All titles produced by Klaus Hoffmann, 1976-1981."

This one is #34/50.

Worm Rotterdam, 24th June.

I liked this synth the most, because it was a bit more compact and thus for me a bit more understandable (I can imagine what it does, but I dont have the experience to really know how these monster machines work). I especially liked that it had a noise-color, volume envelop decay/atack and response and wave form knobs. These things are normal (especially in digital synth world) but was good to see them in 3d.
