The DA-Synth is a small experimental synth that allows you to construct a sound and then turn it into synth beats.
Interesting, but calling it a guitar synth is a step too far. However, interesting sounds my emmenate from within :)
One of the voices on this Elka is bad. I thought it was the CEM 3396 chips but not really as it turns out. Still trying to figure out the cause.
This is the modular as of April 2007. Note the still uncomplete milton sequencer. Everything else works...

3 oscillator "synth". One LM556 (salvaged from a rodent deterrent noise maker) provides 2 osc and one LM555 provides the third.
two are running in astable operation and with different ranges of frequencies. the third is running as "pulse position modulator" which i'm really not able to describe right but is in the LM555 datasheet.
each oscillator is adjusted with the potentiometers.
patchbay made from cut up pieces of a coat hanger, bent and patched with alligator clips.
each oscillator has one patch for output, one for CV in and one for "trigger/threshold". So each osc can be used to modulate the others or you can just run them all together into the output.
incorporated ideas from sqarewave parade's Blast Fed Disaster (basically an atari punk console with mods), and the horrible insect synth (on this page www.notbreathing.com/noise.html)

The Zurich-based musicians are both working with analog synthesis, often resulting in experimental noisy improvisations. Glauser uses for his performances mainly manipulated mixing desks and other hacked gear. Kid Schurke works live usually with little analog toys from Korg like the Monotribe or the Volca series.

Il secondo opening act dei Coldplay domenica 25 giugno 2023 allo stadio San Siro di Milano, è affidato ai Chvrches.
Il gruppo è composto da Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook, Martin Doherty e ufficiosamente dal 2018, Jonny Scott. I Chvrches incorporano anche indietronica, indie pop e dance elettronica nel loro sound.
I Chvrches (pronunciato come l'inglese churches) sono un gruppo musicale scozzese formatosi nel 2011. I membri sono Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook e Martin Doherty. Il genere musicale dei Chvrches di solito è definito come synth pop e dance pop, anche se vengono spesso accostati alla scena indie più recente.
