Taken about summer 1971, the art critic and expert David Sylvester concentrates on the batsman as umpire at the weekly cricket match at Dartington Hall. Greatly missed.

The older couple in the middle are James H. Sylvester (1852 - 1927) and Sarah A. (Samuels) Sylvester (1852 - 1933). I believe that the woman to the immediate right of Sarah is her daughter, Vada (Sylvester) Lowder. The young girl in front might be Dorothy A. Glover (born May 24, 1921). The elder Sylvesters lived in New Palestine, Indiana.

At Disneyland the characters always have huge flocks of kids and their parents trailing them.. at Six Flags nobody cares. So we decided to give Sylvester and Daffy their first little visitor all day, and when we're about to take the picture, the guy in charge of "crowd control" puts a pole with a rope attached in front of our picture. My dad says, "Did you want that pole in my picture? I know I didn't!" and the guy's like, "I'm in charge of crowd control" and we're all like wtf there's nobody else here..? but we finally took the picture and left.
