7. My obsession with visual art has its genesis in my youth, when my parents took us to museums and ruins all over Europe and parts of Mexico.

9. I would like to inhabit music. My musical tastes are freakishly eclectic. I enjoy with EQUAL intensity: Metallica, George Strait, Skinny Puppy, Tejano music, Chopin, Cab Calloway, Fado, Lyle Lovett, Joy Division, Buddhist chants, Public Enemy, marching bands, Ravel, campy musical numbers, and that one song by that one boyband.

The older I get, the brasher, quirkier, more hedonistic, more passionate, more compassionate, more egocentric, more altruistic, more paradoxical, more politically radical, more mercurial, more loving, more cerebral, more spiritual, more sensual, more erotically charged, more chaotic, more timid, more fierce, more sensitive, more passive, more aggressive, I become. I fucking love my 40s and I believe in taking life by the nipple tips and never letting go.

Other jobs/vocations I have considered besides teaching and writing: interior decorator, guitar player, drummer, librarian, paralegal, social worker, Buddhist nun, painter, museum curator, actress, literary agent. Oh, and I worked in marketing, PR, and techinical writing and publishing before becoming a teacher.
13. I like men a whole WHOLE lot. But I love my boyfriend most of all. He's French and fantastic in every fucking way possible. Except when he's moody and cynical. Which is pretty much always. And I still love him even then, because he's funny as FUCK.
14. If I were to be a literary scholar (which I won't because I'm too lazy), I'd focus on French symbolism and surrealism, or Latin American magical realism.
15. I cherish with all my heart and soul the friends I have made through The Cure.
16. Artichokes and red wine make me very horny.

Swifty and I are a little obsessed with Khia, a one-hit sex rapper whose sole successful single was an ode to analingus entitled "My Neck, My Back" (the remainder of the refrain of which consists of the phrase "my pussy and my crack"). According to her website, she'll leave you a voicemail for $24, and if you're in New York, you should call her and hang out. Khia is nothing if not independent.
Many haters claimed Khia was unattractive and spread unflattering mugshots of her around the Internet; Khia promptly lost fifty pounds, started her own record label, and released a new album called "Gangstress," the cover of which is a collage of all her old mugshots. In every one, she is smiling brightly and looks as though she's just had a really fun time.
Naturally, I felt like making a five-foot-square rasterbation of the cover of "Gangstress" when I was bored at work the other day. How fucking genius is Khia?
