Look who I found when I looked into my archives. Why it is Shasta, the world's most handsome male cougar. Shasta is a rescue, and was saved from near starvation and death after the death of his mother. He is the mate of Haley who tolerates him. He is this week's bigcat spokescat wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.
Sometime I like to just sit infront of Gogo... admiring Gogo paws, thinking... "Wow he have such a cute paws, love the shape, the fur...." hehehe I must be crazy.... :-P
We had a fantastic morning, at the Huntington Library Gardens today with Carol, Danny and Aaron.
Elliot idolizes Danny and Danny is so sweet and kind to him.
Our sweet boy Gromit just got back from a trip to the beauty parlor. He looks so wonderful with a fresh bath and shave. He coat is like "cookies 'n' cream". Worn out from the day's event.
A week ago tonight....at 11:54 my furbaby Frank left our lives and crossed the Rainbow Bridge...I had this precious soul from 5 weeks old until he passed...
My life this past week has not been the same...I miss the click click click of hia nails on the hardwood...his following me into the kitchen with the hopes of a snack...his smell...his blind eye...his wanting to "come up" and sit with me or J....his wanting to go out every 10 minutes and well......him. I have a huge void in my life and hole in my heart....
We took as good of care of him as we could...but I miss the essence that made Frank, Frank...even though I complained about it a few times...
Rest in peace my sweet boy...momma misses you..and I will see you again..so I can snuggle, smell and hold you close...you're never alone and always close to our thoughts...
P.S- your brother Dylan misses you...he is lost without you..and your kitty sister Puckers misses you...she doesn't know who to snuggle with....

Quentin was really having fun tossing pebbles in the alley way, and didn't want much to do with this, but I think this is a beautiful, soulful picture of him. His big eyes are so expressive!
...nervous, uncared for and sadly neglected. But his life has finally had a turnaround!
Thanks to a contact of Neva's (Alaidh [Sharon] who also became my contact), I was told about VOKRA. It's a Vancouver cat rescue non-profit charity that finds homes for kittens and cats like Mango. It's not a shelter since cats coming to them are only held briefly till their vet can treat them. They're examined and provided care such as neutering, deworming, flea treatment and more extensive medical care if needed. After recovery, they're placed with 'foster parents' until they're adopted. This way, no cat has to languish in a shelter, hoping that someone will notice them. Instead, they immediately receive a loving home environment.
I was limited financially to caring for Mango other than giving him lots of love, good food, and bed and shelter from the rain. He heartily disliked my cat, Tuulikki so wouldn't come inside my place. But that doesn't mean I didn't come to love him. While I miss him, I'm so happy he'll finally get a warm loving home to live in.
After the vet treated Mango, I was told that he had the worse case of ear mite infestation he'd ever seen. Poor boy. No wonder he had scratched the area under each ear raw! He was also neutered and dewormed. I'm happy to say he had no other major health problems. :-) I was told he was contently lying underneath the foster mom's computer desk, purring, while she was working. Because he's older (10 or 11), he'll be an indoor only cat and be the only cat since he's not fond of other cats.
When I get some photos of his foster home, I'll post them along with any updates. VOKRA's going to feature him soon in their newsletter and he'll also be on their blog soon.
Today I was able to to visit my sister and see the new house she just bought ..my niece and nephew werent really into me taking pics... But my new nephew pup Walter decided to take a seat on my foot and I had to snap this photo! he is so sweet and he gives me puppy kisses....I love him! he is super chill and had grown alot since I saw him a few weeks ago! #walterw #puplove #nephewpup #lovehim #saintbernard #sweetboy #april2014 #feet #Toms
