#MobileArtistry is creative edits, beautiful images, unique perspectives, stellar shots, and happy accidents. IE, stuff you won't find on the pop page.
Through this ongoing project we hope to expose people to art and artists they may not normally get to see, learn about one another's process, and encourage each other to push the limits of creativity.

Tonight's submission is from Eva, aka @evavonpelt, lets hear about her process.
Inside a forest dream / the white dove / holds her truth #micropoetry
I’m so grateful and honored to be featured by @mobileartistry and I’d like to thank the administrators for facilitating this tag and especially Will @computerjones for his support. I’ve learned so much from all the featured artists here and truly appreciate how everyone shares their techniques.
I’ve always been obsessed with light, shadow, and anything macabre. Most of my editing is done later at night, in bed, lights off, and when I should be asleep. Most times, words come to mind while I’m editing a photo and I include them as micropoetry. It takes me forever to get anywhere as my car stops continually on country roads, during overcast days or at sundown.
I use my Iphone 4 (almost) exclusively. My favourite apps are Snapseed, LensLight, Noir, DistressedFX, ScratchCam, and Hipstamatic, including its SwankoLab. Through MobileArtistry, I’ve just discovered TapFX and I’ve used it on my feature photo. Hope it’s enjoyable. Here’s the process:
Hipstamatic: Background with James lens and C-Type Plate film (using the mirror to view and snap)
TapFX: Added doves and smoke. Starting with small doves inside the mouth, then gradually increasing the size to make them appear closer to the viewer.
Camera +: Square cropping and applied the ‘pinhole’ FX
PaintFX: applied lip colour and painted ‘contrast’ over the entire thing
TapFX (again): small points of light on doves and ended with the Vintage filter
Those of you who are using an iPhone camera may be interested to know (if you don't know already). And if you are not using an iPhone, get one ASAP!!
In the past couple of days two new apps were out. One - SwankoLab - from the developers of the Hipstamatic and another one is FilmLab. Both allow you to process photos from the phone camera roll by either using different "chemicals" (SwankoLab) or applying different film filters (FilmLab). Both apps are pretty cool. SwankoLab lets you mix chemicals any way you like and save your own formulas to be applied to other images later. Both can save pictures in high resolution if you choose that option. The main image here is processed with FilmLab and there are some SwankoLab examples below the fold. If you get both, it will set you back the whole $3.00 $5. Totally worth it. Unless you know of a better way to spend $3 $5...
Sorry, correction: SwankoLab will actually cost you $4 if you pay extra $1.99 one-time subscription fee for the additional chemicals and all future updates/more chemicals (still much better than Hipstamatic business model where you have to pay extra for any new Hipstapack).

Yesterday was all about taxes...not hanging out on the deck. I don't mind taxes, but seriously hate all the paperwork. Should be grateful it is only once a year and not every month.

Having a cute kid in your picture is very cliche, no? And this is one seriously cute kid! For 20 minutes we spent together on the train she was fighting her very young parents for the right to stand there all by herself instead of sitting on their lap. Not the easiest thing with all the frequent stops metro train makes...even for humans who already know how to walk. She bumped her head more than once on the pole, but was acting like it is a small price to pay for independence. I can only imagine what it is gonna be like when she starts driving!

Experimenting with color. Seattle, Wash. IPhone 3Gs + Picture Show/Camera Bag/SwankoLab
"A garden is a complex of aesthetic and plastic intentions; and the plant is, to a landscape artist, not only a plant - rare, unusual, ordinary or doomed to disappearance - but it is also a color, a shape, a volume or an arabesque in itself," Roberto Burle Marx
She came out of nowhere, with her red hair shining in the light, and I had the feeling I was staring at either a fairy tale character, or a model for a classic painting who had just stepped out of the pages of the book or the canvas at the museum, to take a stroll in the city...
