Shot when out and about on a househunting mission in London. Next time I shall not try to be a hero and leave it till right before school reopens to save summer rent - it's been a horror and I hope I will not be homeless when school starts. At least having a camera makes the process less grating on the nerves.

This beautiful little "Tibetan Lite" support spindle weights 1.1 ounces (32 grams). The hickory shaft measures about 10 1/2 inches in length and the whorl, which is crafted from goncalo alves, measures about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Accompanying this spindle, is one of our originally designed support spinning bowls that combines the efficiency of a ceramic surface with the stability of a wide beautiful wooden base. The ceramic insert measures 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and the gorgeous goncalo alves base is 2 3/4 inches in diameter.
The 'Heavy Support Rifle'-50 is a .50 caliber rifle meant to be fired by soldiers of the future in 2198, by this time (in my insane head) there will be super soldiers capable of withstanding the recoil of this .50 caliber select fire(fully, semi auto) rifle, just using my imagination :)

The Tobacco Institute of Southern Africa (TISA) has published a leaflet (as part
of a larger mixed media campaign) to inform the South African public about
counterfeit cigarettes - and in the process they have inadvertently provided
counterfeiters with a check list of what to include in their production
techniques to prevent detection.
Just as in other countries, the increasing problem of counterfeit cigarettes
in South Africa is due to the steadily rising amounts of government levied
taxes on tobacco products.
Whilst almost every single form of cigarette advertising is banned in South
Africa, TISA wants you to buy genuine cigarettes so that the government can
build more clinics... (To treat more smoking related diseases?)

WASHINGTON, D.C. — – President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama pass the official review stand opposite Lafayette Park where they later watched the remainder of the Inauguration Parade. The 57th Presidential Inauguration was held in Washington D.C. on Monday, January 21, 2013. The Inauguration included the Presidential Swearing-in Ceremony, Inaugural Address, Inaugural Parade and numerous inaugural balls and galas honoring the elected President of the United States.
During the 10-day inaugural period approximately 6,000 National Guard personnel from over 30 states and territories worked for Joint Task Force-District of Columbia, providing traffic control, crowd management, transportation, communication, medical and logistical support as well as marching in the Inaugural Parade. More than 13,000 Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve military members were involved in the inauguration.
The procession of more than 8,000 people started at Constitution Avenue continuing down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House included ceremonial military regiments, citizen groups, marching bands and floats. The President, Vice President, their spouses and special guests then review the parade as it passes in front of the Presidential Reviewing Stand.
The presidential inaugural parade included members from all branches of the armed forces of the United States. Since 1789, the U.S. Armed Forces have participated in this important American tradition honoring our Commander in Chief. The parade is organized by the Joint Task Force-National Capital Region, and participants are selected by the Presidential Inaugural Committee.
