We had 35 people brave the cold to join a support rally in Bangor ME in
front of the local headquarters of TD Bank. There were speakers from 350
Maine, Maine Peace Action, Stop the EW Corridor, and C.A.R.E., the
divestment group at Colby College. Seven of us went into TD Bank to display
a banner exposing TD Banks connection to tar sands extraction; we left when
we we received a lawful order from the Bangor PD to do so. We then marched
as a group to Rep.Michaud's office in downtown Bangor where 10 people went
in to demand a tar sands free NE. Additional people went on the local
Federal Building to meet with staff representing Senators King and Collins.
Local radio and TV covered the rally, march and office visits.

Col. Orlando Dale Critzer assumed command of 401st Army Field Support Brigade from Col. Michel M. Russell, Sr., in a ceremony at brigade headquarters Jul. 18.

The 401st Army field Support Brigade provides Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, and Marines, the tools and resources necessary to complete the mission. If they shoot, drive it, fly it, wear it, eat it or communicate with it, the 401st helps provide it. The brigade assists coalition partners with many of their logistical and sustainment needs. As Moby writes, the bill restoring funding has passed and the governor has indicated he will sign it (see dist08.casen.govoffice.com for more info)
But it still would be helpful to contact him asking him to sign SB3x13 and to make sure there is long term funding for domestic violence prevention programs (this is just a temporary measure for this year)

The team was was evaluated as fully mission capable by U. S. Army North’s Civil Support Readiness Group-East after demonstrating proficiency in 12 different collective tasks. The CST conducts an external evaluation every 18 months to validate they are able to effectively conduct their mission of providing support to first responders in potential biological, chemical, nuclear, radiological and explosive incidents. Thursday night I returned to Providence with bryanj87
and Macedo295 for some additional night shooting. We started at the Point St. Bridge and continued south from there. It was easy to manage the cold with enough layers but the wind posed quite a challenge. Camera shake and wind driven debris were quite common, changing lenses was not.
The moving clouds in this image caught my eye as well as the support structures. I used a halogen flashlight to illuminate the image a little.
