We carved our pumpkins late the other night in preparation for our yearly Harvest Fest - for our backyard visitors.
I carved mine first while my sister was taking a power nap. Frodo supervised, like he usually does, making sure I didn't make too big a mess.
We do this every year, so I sometimes wonder if he remembers us doing this? Or if over time he's learned to just go with the flow because not much seems to faze him any more.
The spoonbills were great for squabbles and not only between the adults but between their teenagers. I do know if this was a parent or just another spoonbill but he was certainly putting the juvies in their place. It is amazing to see such similar behavior in the animal world as in the human race.
