This piece of art golden statue was created by the Japanese artist ‘Takashi Murakami’ and placed for display at the front yard of the ‘Royal Palace of Versailles, Paris’ (2007 ~ 2010).

Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist. He works in fine arts media as well as commercial and is known for blurring the line between high and low arts. He coined the term "superflat," which describes both the aesthetic characteristics of the Japanese artistic tradition and the nature of postwar Japanese culture and society, and is also used for Murakami's artistic style and other Japanese artists he has influenced. Sometimes things are shore fin's and sometimes other things are not such sure things. Such was the case down in Bondi this morning, gorgeous morning - no waves, no people, maybe 4 surfers trying to ride a superflat ocean. Even the surfboards were heading back to shore and hanging out their fins to dry. I was mesmerised by this beautiful red fin , the water dripping down from it catching the light and its reflection on the shoreline .

First day of Autumn here in Sydney my fine flickr friends and I'm up at the right time, in great time in fact - so have time to check out Bondi - superflat, no clouds - drove to Tamarama - same, drove to Bronte - same so on I went over the Bondi border and in to foreign territory Coogee . Beautiful morning, lovely sunrise - however nothing too special going on down there apart from a fellow Irishman down the beach sitting next to me. He was still drunk from the night before telling me that we were on the right side of the beach and that we would end up millionaires where as everyone else on the other side of the beach would end up in Ikea. I, being Irish too, agreed with his wise beer sodden words however did not get the money shot whilst I was down there.

On the way home, stopped to get a paper and there he was crossing the road in the beautiful light on Bondi Road. I let him go, did not have the heart to tell him there was no surf down at Bondi and finally got my money shot .

Been super busy over the last few days with work and a wedding(not mine rest assured ;))) so bear with me whilst I catch up. Off now to check to my bank account to see if the millions have arrived yet ;)
